Interesting to see this more acclaimed than the Criterion Collection edition.

I'm not totally sure what the difference is between the two editions, but you sure get a lot in this box!

The Arrow set will run at the correct European framerate, whereas the Criterion does not, but then again the Criterion has the two feature film versions of five and six, Arrow does not.

Plus Arrow has went ahead and added all of the extra content (hence why its Dekalog and other tv works) whereas Criterion is just Dekalog. Arrow just steamrolled over Criterion on this edition, it's a much much better release.

Elliot Coen The Arrow edition it's much more than just Dekalog. I think it contains all or most of his TV works. I think Arrow is slowly getting ahead of Criterion with their releases in the last 12 months.

Was thinking about getting this, but I read that the discs have the 1080i/50hz which is used in the UK, and that it may not play on players in the US. Does anyone know if that is true? What about region-free players?
