I just sold my Cali76 compact deluxe to get one for exactly those reasons!

It doesn’t actually save presets on its own but it’s still awesome. :)

How's the sustain on this thing? I'm looking for my first compressor pedal (ever) and I kinda like this one. The only thing I need to know is if the sustain is great on this thing. Good review, btw. Thanks!
@zachvargas1225884 жыл бұрын
Slide or Joey mode has good sustain sounds good even if your not a slide player, but that’s what I love about mine it has multiple modes and sound purposes

@@zachvargas122588 i appreciate the reply. I am actually torn between Jackson Bloom and Okko Cocaine. Some said get a Cali76, but I don't know the difference between the compact deluxe and the stack. Anyway, those are my options. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

@@migzo2272 For top notch compression alone, the Cali76 is unbeatable. The Bloom is a fantastic compressor, but does soooo much more, and all its features magnify the effectiveness of its compressor. It’s just an MVP sort of pedal . It gets 5 stars from me.

@@keylearning5746 I’ve got the Cali76 too. After all this time are you still happier with the Bloom or do you miss Cali?

Is it a noisy compressor when paired with OD?
@kiesshauer3 жыл бұрын
Not really. Of course the more od there is the more noise…but also the less you need compression!

Never thought about it! But I’m not a fan of any pedals for my acoustic. :)

Comp pedals aren't exciting. However, on a serious rig playing live or recording in a professional studio.....it makes far more difference than than boutique pedals with the goofy names than players buy thinking it will make them better. Compression and EQ just aren't fun on KZbin, but infinitely more important than the overwhelming majority of pedals being hocked on here.

Why is that nobody talks about the most important thing? And there is no information about this in any platforms...It is crazy, I really don't know how could JA make such a big marketing mistake like this. It is so important information: Is this pedal an analog or digital comp? It is not anyway! Very much not! Analog stuff can not mention on the same page as digital stuff.... thx

My understanding is it’s optical but that might be a different issue. I personally just bought this, golden boy, broken arrow, and Asabi and (to me) the quality is not there. I can’t find out if handmade either (guessing not).
@Kathayne6362 жыл бұрын
I would guess it's optical by the LED light.
@MintStiles2 жыл бұрын
@@joetoe9207 why do you say the quality is not there? The casing seems fancy enough. Innards seems on par with most other builders of similar priced stuff (I must say that I am not an expert in component costs). It's not the perfect solution for any particular thing, but definitely solves a lot of problems in a small package. I think most can learn to work with these pedals. I have a prism. It doesn't do anything great, but it's enough to push my tubes in a few different ways sufficiently nicely. Less distractions means more playing and less knob turning.
