First listen, I didn't read the lyrics and just listened to the song/watched the mv and I already felt some type of way about it lol. His voice, the melodies and the instrumental very much conveyed the vibe of the lyrics even if it is light. Honestly, this song, with those lyrics and specially, with Kihyun's voice, hit straight to the heart, and yeah, I felt so good lostening to it. I guess he released in the right time, at least for me, cuz I'm in a moment of self reflection, with my mind wondering a lot about what I've been doing for the past few months. Kpop lyrics rarely get me emotional (usually that’s the job of Taylor Swift and others, plus kpop is rarely trying for actual emotional impact). But dang, this got me right in my feelings. As someone in my early 30s it speaks so strongly to me, and it’s such a good reminder of how maybe I’ve learned a few things by this stage of life that can help me try to be happier each and every day. When I first saw this mv I bawled (same when I first heard Where is the Love...and I was in the county pool LOL) ...and as I watch the reaction videos, I find myself tearing up again seeing how Kihyun's song is touching everyone! yeahh i also cried when i saw the lyrics... and the last line "I was already doing well" is more touching when we understand context. In korean lyric, the last one is "you were already doing well.", so first time I heard this song, I thought he tells that to us...
