Kiirtan Tutorial 1- Baba Nam Kevalam mantra

This is the first in a series of videos demonstrating how to play the Baba Nam Kevalam mantra on the guitar..
For this melody we are using a capo on the second fret, and there are only two chords: Em and D. I used a down up, down up, up-down, up-down strumming pattern.
The mantra is Baba Nam Kevalam and it means "Only the name of the most beloved." Only the name of the God who resides deep within you, only the name of the love at the core of your being and the love that permeates the universe.

I use that pattern a lot . It provides a rhythm that you can do the dance with.
