@@aditrock6715 i guess how some of the all mans songs are pretty jamy, a lot of improv kind of thing. It also reminds me of the dead in that aspect where they just jam for long periods of times
@sethmoore8484 Жыл бұрын
@@aditrock6715 "whippin post" and "done sombody wrong" from At Filmore East are similar jams to this by the Allman Brothers. The whole album is a really good document of their live sound.

During the 5/4 part of this song, the beat is pretty much the same as the one in Take Five by Dave Brubeck.

cause it’s one of the best 5/4 grooves used in many songs
@sashoradoulov35042 жыл бұрын
@@gmoner You know any others that use it?
@gmoner2 жыл бұрын
@@sashoradoulov3504 i guess i was exaggerating by saying “many” songs, cause there aren’t too many popular songs in 5/4, but this groove of having the emphasis on the & of one, three, then having the 4 and 5 be like their own measure of 2/4 is the best way to approach 5/4 in my opinion. I like writing music in 5/4 personally so i use this same groove a lot as well, here’s another example also: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXvcgaemocmVbZo. David bennett has a good video about songs in 5/4 as well.
