i had to pause 1 min in and check the webpage. I was honestly looking thinking they were going to be $1,000 or more for a set and just a pipe dream. You my friend have line thats a pretty damn good value. If you think a regular shifter is going to cost $3-400 for sure, then valve body. You sell the shifters so close to what a normal ratchet shifter costs im really getting interested in a set for my 85 regal. The Buick never came with lightning rods like the olds but then again I'm building a Grand National the way it should have been with 1200hp, not 200. They needed 2 more cyl, twice the c.i.d. and another turbo to be the car they should have been

looks very good but i suggest u make grooves separating P, R, and race mode(sorry i dont know what to say) so that users wont accidentally engages those gears since it didnt have locking mechanism... overall good stuff bro....

would it work in a 68-81 (C3) Corvette with a Turbo 350 or Turbo 400,? Is there a shifter made specifically for a 3 speed GM automatic rear wheel drive? If so may we see it? Thank You Philip BTW your shifter design and fabrication rocks! I Wanted the "Lightening Rod Type" shifter since they were introduced in the "Hurst" Old's of the 1980's. Just wasn't a 200-4-R fan. I did too many warranty rebuilds at or under 15,000 miles on almost brand new cars for 5.5 hours including pull time. Add an hour to flush the trans cooler and lines...3 for an oil change and .3 for diagnosis of line pressures, road test and fluid sampling 7.1 hours total at 12 bucks an hour which was good in 1988. Then wait a week for a Zone Rep to come out, push it outside or clog up your dead stall, if you were lucky enough to have 2 bays. Then another week for parts or if you were lucky you could slam a crate trans init and almost come close to a break even if you were good and lucky that hard parts cost exceeded the cost of a new unit. Weak transmissions, built cheaply for the day behind a stock weak 305 powered 190 horsepower Monte Carlo SS or Hurst 307 boat anchor ( I love the Hurst Olds even with its weak 307 lets get that straight) sure, a Grand National was a recipe for disaster if even slightly modifying the engines horsepower output. . The 700-R-4 was the better (4L60) of the two 1980's overdrives after the 700-R-4 Ironed out it's bugs. The 200-4-R was dropped around 89-90 model year. The Turbo 400 was still there till the early-mid 90's for trucks as was the 700-R-4 The 200-4-R was based on the Turbo 200C a wear trans at best and one step up from the Turbo 175 still in use in the USPS "bread box" mail vans still in use with a 2.2. That combo was tough S-10 (not T) rollling chassis with the 2.2 liter engine and turbo 175C and a Grumman aluminum body. Still "hauling the mail" today" Was many a "Green" tech thought he has a seized up engine or starter on the 175 trans.. Lots of red faces over that misdiagnosis (locked up trans front pump! ; same as Buick 3800 series 2 engines "locked up because of a failed intake manifold that filled every cyllinder with antifreeze overnight in some cases.Many engines replaced for m reason. Just replace the intake manifold, upper and lower plus gaskets, pump the coolant out the spark plug holes with them removed, a few squirts of trans fluid down the 6 plug holes, rank it thru with plugs out and fuel/spark disabled, insert plugs, change the oil and add coolant clear codes and then be on the way. I can do one in my driveway in 2 hours if I take my time. Love buying them from people for nothing then sellinf them for 6-12,000$! Anyway let me know if that shifter is available for the turbo hydro 350/400. I have a C3 Corvette I think it would look good in! Phil

The Lenco shifter is for stick shift cars, and allows for clutchless shifting, giving advantage at the dragstrip. Why do you need a Lenco style shifter on an automatic? You can use a stock, or aftermarket, shifter and just bump the gear lever when you upshift. Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do you need four levers to get the job done?

It's no more difficult than shifting any other car. You start the car, put it in drive, then you hit the gas pedal and go. You must ride a one speed bicycle if you think it's difficult to take a car from PARK into DRIVE.
