Did this route this year in late Jan/Early Feb and had incredibly clear weather the entire time. Watching this video makes me wish I took footage too 😅 what an incredible experience

Great to hear, so glad you had a good time, it's always nice to record a little diary cam even if you don't post it you can look back on the trips you do. :)

Hi, great video! What timeframe (month) of the year did you climb the mountain? Thank you!

Hi there, we did this climb at the very beginning of October

Did you get any altitude sickness at all? And was the descent as bad as everyone on some of the youtube kili videos make it out to be? Congrats on your successful summit

No altitude sickness, I had been to 4,500+ m the few days before summing mt Meru next to Kili. The decent is ok but you need to be prepared for the longest day of walking, we got to our final camp around 17 hours after leaving camp for the summit that morning

Are trekking poles a required equipment?
@keitho_malley_farrell8 ай бұрын
Not compulsary but it's recommended, they take a lot of the weight of your upper body and back pack and help with stability going up and down steep sections. You can rent them from most hotels/tour operators when you get there.
