My "hack" for staying warm in my sleeping bag: I activated a set of hand-warmers, which lasts about 6 hours, and tossed them in the foot of my sleeping bag. Viola! Heat! (Trekked Kili's Lemosho Route in 2015, with a successful summit!)

pretty good tips to those who haven't slept a lot in sleeping bags. - get warm before you enter the bag, or else you wont be able to get warm. - I recommend wearing nothing in the bag, this will produce heat faster and make you warmer. - if its below 20, or around 0 degrees, you might consider 2 sleeping bags. One big waterproof bag, and a thinner skinny one inside the big bag. (If your clothing is wet you can dry your clothing between the bags.
