The story is loosely based on the real life incident that happened in 2010. Bishnu Shrestha, a 35 year old Gurkha soldier in the Indian Army, was on his way to Gorakhpur from Ranchi. 40 armed bandits attacked the train and robbed the passengers. Shrestha was asleep when the bandits attacked, and was ready to give up his valuables. But when the 18 year old girl next to him was grabbed by the robbers who intended to rape her, Shrestha pulled out his Khukuri and attacked the bandits. He ended up killing 3 and injuring 8 of the bandits in the fierce counterattack. In 2012, the Indian Army presented Shrestha with the prestigious Sena Medal for his bravery. 🫡 - Wikipedia
