I am really trying to find the "how do they get that sound?" secret. Because this is almost too good to believe. This is an absolutely incredible reproduction of this legendary song. Tremendous performances from everyone. When you get musicianship as good as this appears to be - the deciding factor is often the vocalist. But she is so good - she has the talent to bring out the brilliance of the original song because she so totally nails it where it counts. Also love the take on the guitar solos - and the players are both good enough to bring off the "extra" improvisations that have been added in. I honestly think this cover is totally 5 bloody star. You can always tell a great cover - because it just wants to make you jump up off your ass and rock out :)

Ritchie Blackmore´s Rainbow, one of the most underrated bands in history. Except, of course, if you happen to know anything about hard rock music at all. There is a reason why this song was their opener in live shows for four years and literally hundreds of shows. Super cool cover by a super cool band.

Mr Monterosso is one righteous brother. The way he dives, head first, into his first solo part is pure magic. It would be a Kamikaze effort if you dont balance it out fast. But he sails through it and brings the energy with him, without overfanning the flame, through the whole solo. Magic and inspirational.

Pure heavy metal. the voice is perfect.In the middle between the heavy of the instruments and the sweet of the singing. Blackmore wasn't so heavy :-)

The only "other life" they are giving it is in the solo, the rest of the song is identical note for note as the original, they should have kept the solo original, I like my Rainbow unadulterated ; )

Tobias, that is a VERY closed minded way of thinking, musically speaking! For example, Go listen to BOTH Bruce Springsteen's and Manfred Mann's Earth Band's versions of the song "Blinded By The Light" (yeah, I know, it's old, overplayed and tired), both versions are done very differently, yet are both equally good tracks, and I'm NOT a "Bruce" fan at all, nor a fan of Manfred Mann! If you hand 90 musicians the exact same sheet music for the exact same song, I seriously doubt they will all do it exactly the same. in fact you'd probably end up with at least 90 different versions of it! Different stop here, different note bend there, etc. Many original artists change up their own songs, sometimes live, sometimes on albums, many throw a different version of one of their own songs onto another album. Many artists/bands say they purposely change stuff up because they just get too bored repeating the same thing night after night after night and also don't want to bore their audience. Personally, I'd hate to hear the same thing done the same way over and over and over, I actually love it when I see a band live and they changed a song up a little bit here and there, it keeps even an old song "fresh"!

While her voice displays some power here and I'd hate to judge anyone based on only one cover song, she sounds far more suited for maybe some Broadway stage shows and not really Rock or Metal! Just sayin' from a professional METAL singers point of view!... Also, Rocco is a really terrific guitarist who just keeps on getting better and better and more metal every day!, I played with him for a number of years a very long time ago, so very glad to see and hear he's still jamming and sounds like he's still improving! Ritchie is an awesome guitarist who always rocks and the rest of the band are really tight, so musically I'd give this a 9 (the single kick electronic drums killed that 1 point lol), vocally i'd say it's a 7.
