It's because people hear a generic 4/4 beat, kick-snare-kick-snare, and if another song also happens to have a generic beat, IT'S COPIED. Because people don't seem to know jack about percussion, sound design or rhythms. I can name literally thousands of songs that utilize something that sounds like this intro.
