I cannot emphasize how IMPORTANT this comment is under such video. Last year I faced my past wounds and demons and I cannot describe how big change I got in my life - especially inside. Im introverted person so I thought I knew myself enough - what a shame. I'm 31 yo and since last year I started to understand my TRUE self - even thought im learning from "manosphere" for years. All I can say is read that book - "The Child In You" by Stefanie Stahl (I know the name is not cachy for us men (thats why I had it in my computer for like one year before I read it) but believe me, if you want to become authenthic version of yourself - you have to face your childhood traumas, and everybody have some. And if you know for sure you have/had shitty parents I recommend you another gem - "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents" by Lindsay C. Gibson. These two books shook my life. Cheers

I love this lesson 😂 it’s exactly what I’ve learned. It’s too bad but it’s for real. Just never kill the child in you. You know when to reveal it and when not to. The child keeps you from taking people seriously. The child allows you to play and enjoy.
@Joshy2J-TG2 ай бұрын
Don't kill your inner child, integrate it into the here and now and maintain that self compassion and for others. Self respect requires a positive relationship to and with self, not the abandonment of self.

Hey everyone! I hope youre well while reading this. Could you give me some reccomendation, I feel this is the best place to ask this... Im 18 and I've never been to a party nor drank alcohol for I always felt these to be wrong and harmful. Recently though, I got into college and even my brother who also thinks like me, thinks I should go to such places to meet people, as Im in a new city and still without friends. Should I go? Drinking alcohol is indoubtely out of the equation... He says it is for now better than what Im currently doing - waking up at 6AM, Gym, classes, home again to read/study/research, is it?

@@1STMAN i think you're close too. i like a lot of the things you say. i pretty strongly believe telling people to kill their inner child is bad advice though. even if it's clickbait, it's really bad advice imo. i do think different things work for different people. and sometimes you need to take a loss in one area to take a W in another. we are all growing in different areas at different times. but let's clarify, you do not need to kill your inner child to be responsible and disciplined. ideally, you want to be able to know how/when to switch between the two. our inner child is extremely valuable for our happiness and joy. don't kill it. understand the child and sit with him and have some fun sometimes. it'll benefit you most, but the people around you too. our humanity is more important than anything, and I think our inner child is a big part of that.
