2 years later and I’m still amazed at how JSU contrasted the two programs. They had total command of every song they played. Clarity, blend, dynamic range, song selections from every musical genre, just everything. Alcorn on the other hand sounds like a dope high school band. AND it felt like JSU could go 15 more rounds.

Alcorn didn’t play no games either. The trumpets were on it and there was some very good moments where the woodwind was given the opportunity to shine. The sound from Alcorn was full and they had a god mixture of slow and fast pace songs. Jackson state didn’t win this battle at all. JSU fought but they didn’t pull through in the 5th quarter.

Jsu’s sound was 10x better than Alcorn..all alcorn knows is crank which is cool but you gotta sound good doing it and half the time they don’t!! JSU was easily the better band it wasn’t close but it was an entertaining 5th it was the best of the 2018 season..I still listen to it as you can tell from this comment

This was probably my favorite 5th quarter of the year. JSU with the win because they brought the heat from beginning to end. Alcorn sounded really good to me too, though. The song selection wasn't the best, but they still pushing out watts. Good to see a nice, long 5th between two good bands. Hats off to both. And yea, this footage is pretty damn great!
