Killarney MSA Drags - 18 February 2023

The season opener for MSA Drags at Killarney!
Killarney’s first Drag Racing event of 2023 on Saturday 18 February was dominated by Hermann Mostert and his 2JZ Nissan Champ bakkie ‘Jack Russell’, which ran an 8.5 second pass out the box and posted a best effort of 8.35 seconds at 286.12km/h later in the day.
Unfortunately we did not see the Barrascort of Tolla Daniels post a time as the car had some issues at the start line. Don't worry, we will see that MK1 Escort challenge Jack Russell soon.
CK Outlaws brought some of their cars to the track, but this time around Yster VVL was not there but Dakskroef VVL was. This Toyota Corolla is not to be judged, it flew down the straight with a best time of 11.89 seconds. Another star of the day was Dreamer DE. South Africa's first 11 second SR20DE! It did a best time of 11.95 seconds at 181.47km/h.
A big shoutout to Marcel Keenan. He took his stock SR20VE to the track and put in a PB of 13.45 seconds at 165km/h on semi slicks. Stock motor, stock cams, pump fuel. Respect!
