Killbear Blind Bay Campground: Swimming, Hiking and Fire Grilled Beyond Sausage

This weekend, we explored the Blind Bay Campground at Ontario's premier campground, KillBear Provincial Park. Unfortunately, our bike rack failed during the car trip to the park. After it was patched up, we limped off to an almost pitch-black campsite. Things looked better in the morning; we enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear warm waters, hiking and cooking up some delicious plant-based camp food.

We did Killbear a few years ago in the fall. It was amazing with the colours of the leaves. But I wouldn't call it the best park in Ontario. Have you been to Rainbow Falls or Pancake bay? We prefer the smaller parks. Mississagi and Driftwood are pretty amazing too.

We went to Driftwood several years ago. A very nice quiet park. Hoping to do some more closer to North Bay and Superior in the future.

Thanks for the video and showing us about this park. We are planning to go there this summer and I am wondering how’s the beaches around blind bay B camp ground?

Definitely smaller than Killcoursie or Beaver Dam, but the granite rock is also a nice swimming feature.

What beach didn't you like ? Do you remember the campground it was on ?

Killcoursie campground was my favourite, although it was not busy at the time, but very large and almost Floridian like.
