I couldn't believe that a parole officer would go by himself to the home of a mentally disturbed ex-con! As a matter of fact, why would a parole officer go to ANY ex-con's home? Mentally disturbed or not? Order the ex-con to report to the parole officer, and if he doesn't show up, arrest him. Send a SWAT team if necessary! Btw, I could listen to this narrator, Anthony Call, for hours on end. What a voice!

Probably because parole officers were expected to drop in to check to see if the parolees were being honest about where they lived, to check for drugs and fire arms and any other thing that was against the rules of their parole rules. You can't be making sure they are following the rules if your sitting in an office, in that case there would be no point in having parole officers.

A lot of it is bureaucracy and cost. After insane asylums we’re exposed in many instances of mistreatment and in some cases pure torture, there was a big push to shut them all down. Funding went way down. We need to ramp it back up. Look at the lunatics in Portland Oregon and San Francisco running the street.

We have mental health hospitals already we need to change the way we treat it. Our doctors don't even cure, just treat and there's only but so much you can do without having a person walk around doped up 24/7. Maybe trying to retrain your brain instead of shoving medicine down people's throat that they know will NEVER cure them.

We need to sue the big pharmaceutical companies and what not because they don't make medicine or treat to cure. They only do it for profit. Protecting the Clinton's, lying, etc. THE fraudulent investigating of a PERSON, NOT in the Political SWAMP!!! AKA, "Russia Gate"!!! Weaponized by a SWAMP Of Corruption!!!! Watch all the FBI videos & see HOW they've VIOLATED the Constitution time & time again!!!! Look how they've VIOLATED "Civil Rights"!! Look how they BROKE INTO "Gotti's " house and bugged him! Maybe Gotti was a criminal, BUT STILL, "Illegal means' to do so, there was NO Court Order to BREAK INTO his house. Today's FBI stands for the 1940's version of the Nazi German's Gestapo!!! Yeah, maybe they do work on crimes like this video, BUT OVERALL, the FBI get's an "F"!! Vince Foster is PRIME example of how the FBI cover-up & "Protected" the Clinton's!!! 47+ "Unusual" deaths under the Clinton's & who, which Dept. of Gov't, covered it all up?? My Adopted Dad became a Police Officer in the mid 1970s. He didn't live in the same town where he worked, roughly 30 miles away. I'm not sure what brought this on but in roughly 1995 he was shot at driving into work, they missed. That December when everyone was gone someone broke in and stole several guns some dating back to WW2, his service weapon, badge, jewelry etc. They even stole Christmas gifts from under the tree. 2 recently released inmates followed him home and they are who shot at him. They admitted had they been home they were going to shoot everyone. When I moved in during the early 2000 I noticed they had shot guns and pistols all over the house. I had one in my room, my brother too. My parents slept with a pistol under their pillow.

You also do realize they never had the manpower to have more than one person go out to a parolee’s home & if you noticed he was so deranged it wouldn’t have mattered if it were 2 or not. Now they have them go to a lab to give their sample, labs that didn’t exist back then.

The first one is so sad, I feel sorry for all those who suffered the losses and car jackings but I also feel sorry for the dude with schizophrenia, although it doesn’t justify what he did.. I count even imagine the mental torture or worry he was experiencing

It's unimaginable how "his community" automatically take anyones side when they get arrested not knowing the reason for the arrest and see the preparator as somehow a "victim" , pathetic.

The probation or parole officer must have lost his mind in Vietnam or is a moron to go to a criminal’s house alone for any reason.

Man my heart goes out to the families of all the people who have lost a loved one due to a violent crime. Law Enforcement officers put their lives on the line every single day to try and protect people. Yes there are a few bad apples and those apples can make people even scared of the police that are sworn to protect you. I grew up wanting to be a Policeman so bad. I had friends in both the Sheriff's Department and City Police. But it only took this one time when a cop put a gun to my head that i decided this was not what i needed in my life. Now why did that cop put a gun to my head? Probably because i was yelling at him that the car i was breaking into was mine and the yard he was standing in was mine. I was literally in a pair of boxers outside trying to open the car door to get my keys out of the ignition. That night i pulled in to the yard like i had a hundred times before. Cellphones had just came out and the car i owned a 1979 Cutlass, for some reason the door dinger didnt work when the keys were in the ignition. I got out out after answering the phone and walked to the other side of the car. I had football practice and then went to my little part time job. I grabbed my clothes and still talking on the phone at $.25 a minute closed the doors to the car. I got to the front door and that when it hit me, i locked my keys in the car. We had a hideaway key under a rock so i was able to get the door opened. I walked inside and my moms and stepdad were sleep and thats where my 2nd set of keys were. So i went and took a shower and said you know what, ill get the car opened in the am and dont worry about it. After about an hour laying in bed, i kept thinking someone would steal my car and have a key to my moms house. So i said screw it and went outside armed with a deadly coat hanger and a pair of boxers on, i statted to try to get my door opened. A OFF DUTY B.R.P.D Detective pulls up in my yard and screams at me with his gun drawn to walk to him and put my hands on the hood of his car and spread my legs. Man that hood was freaking HOT!!! When i asked if i could move to the back of the car he told me know and thats when we started arguing. He calls in for back up and gives my address. 2 Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputys show up. The first Deputy looks at the city cop and asked him why he had his gun up to my head? The city cop said that i was uncooperative!!! The Deputy said you can go ahead and put the gun up..... I asked the Deputy if i could take my hands off this hot ___ hood? He responded yes but hang tight, he was waiting on a LT. to show up. The LT showed up and a huge argument erupted and it was so loud it woke my mother up. My moms comes out with a loaded .38 asking whats the issue? I knew both Sheriff's that showed up. When they heatd the address, they both knew it was close to my house and they came as fast as they could. The first Deputy that showed up, he lived at the corner of the street and i played basketball every day when i didnt have football at school. The LT that showed up? Oh he was over the Burglary division and knew me and my family well. We owned a Pawn Shop not far from where we lived. Anyway i got my car opened and a very cold apology from the BRPD Detective. He said that he was only doing his job and didnt know if i had a weapon hidden in my boxers.
