Why does Hollywood keep destroying my favorite car!!!
@TheBrooklynbodine2 жыл бұрын
Well, toward the end of this clip, the narrator says that "It's a bummer that Hollywood seems to have it in for these poor old Plymouths." Also, in "The Enforcer," Clint Eastwood totaled '73 (Satellite?) when he drove it into the liquor store, thus ending a hostage drama. As I posted before, even the car Vic Morrow's driving looks evil. Guess it's the push bars on the front bumper that do it.

Depends when it’s set, If it was set in the last 10 years, they could use a Charger, Caprice, or Crown Vic, though the Charger would get my pick........now what to use for the hero car.......one of those ‘34 Ford based kit cars that’s intended to go around corners would be pretty awesome here!

A whole channel of killer car movies? Awesome! I've never even heard of this one. Great cars, but what really gets me is how damn scary Vic Morrow is! I've only ever known him as 'the guy from the Twilight Zone movie'. He looks like an evil Johnny Cash.
@TheBrooklynbodine2 жыл бұрын
He does, doesn't he? He did play a good guy on a few occasions, but he was more suited to play a villain. He was a little guy physically, but I don't think I'd want to get on his bad side.

I don't know whether they were Furies or Belvederes, but '57s are my favorite! The two guys in my neighborhood and my aunt got rid of theirs in the '60s, and the friend was driving his around in '82. I don't know how long he had his. The guy who had the '57 said it was junk. I rode in it a few times, but I was just a little kid, but it seemed to run well enough to me. Maybe he meant it was good before he got rid of it, and that was why.

What is it about the old 50s Plymouth fury’s that lures in evil
@jacksprofessionalproductio94033 жыл бұрын
I think it’s because those Plymouths are cars that pretty much disappeared into obscurity. And this works cause often the evil that drives those cars have no clear identity thus making the car more evil and sinister (at least in Christine). To simply put, An unknown evil in the form of an unknown car.
@TheBrooklynbodine4 жыл бұрын
That '57 Plymouth even LOOKED evil. Guess it was the push brackets on the front bumper. This movie and "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" were both from '74, and I think they were both on the ABC. I know "The California Kid " was. It first aired 9-25-74 as an ABC Movie of the Week.
