Also a person close to the point of drowning is unable to keep their mouth above water long enough to breathe- worth noting too when your trying not to drown, your focused on breathing and staying above water- rather than calling for help. We’re not even including the effort it takes to keep yourself above water, specially for a child. All those things together make drowning very quick & basically silent

Blue's Clues vibes can be felt, but when I saw the drawing of the chainsaw, I just thought "Yep, something dark just went down." The foxes are cute, and I thought they were like very furry cats too. The chase could've been shorter, but good game still. And I didn't know what to expect, so hope when the next chapter drops, Mike could play it for us

I did like that it went in a loop though as you can pin point which rooms the foxes start chasing you and recognize the layout and see where the next door is. Like the one room you can see one of the foxes already in front of you The flashbright thing is kinda like poppy playtime with the grab pack and the final chase is like the huggy chase but I think this one is less tedious and ig calmer if that makes sense? The foxes aren’t rlly that fast but one wrong move can set you back but they are way slower than huggy which is a relief

We only have a first chapter and already I have a few guesses as to what exactly Crum did to the show. My biggest clue (pun intended) is the newspaper at 8:36 . That last sentence from the third article is *really* settin off alarm bells: "But it's clear he wants to bring some of his engineering expertise into the show's very *DNA."* If Game Theory has taught me anything, it's that keywords like that aren't thrown in there without reason. My hypothesis? I'm willin to bet that robotics ain't the *only* type of engineering Crum is skilled in...

What I say next could be 100% wrong, but it’s the best I can do with the information given. The player character is clearly supposed to be the original show-runner, the one from the beginning and ending clip. Unlike his replacement, he seems to genuinely care about both entertaining children and the wellbeing of Mint and Co. This lead him to go against the people paying for everything, as some of the ideas they told him to do were stuff he didn’t want to put his little friends through. So they decided to replace him with someone who not only would go through with their ideas, but also improve them and make them happen even sooner. Mint clearly didn’t want to go along with it and the new guy got so angry he used the new chainsaw character to chop up Mint and Fuschia before putting them through the process that left them in their current state in addition to making smaller R/C type foxes to help them get around the show quicker (the things that chased you). Wanting to put things back to normal, Mint lures the old host back to the show, but is unable to recognize him due to either the Immense pain she’s in or due to the new host’s interference; thus making her attack him until he actually reaches her at the end. Grant Marrs is here in the comment section, correct me where needed just don’t spoil anything for people who haven’t seen the whole series yet (this command shall expire on 10/31/2025)!

Well, based off of the start, we (as in the player/protagonist) are the old show runner. Considering that some of the characters remember us. And at 2:17 Sprinkles say "A lot has changed since you were the showrunner" and so on. So this gets a clear idea who the player is. We don't know why we were replaced in the first place but all we know from Sprinkles is that "we left" the show and got replaced by Alistair Crum as the new showrunner.

My sense of humour is broken; a lot of the NPC's lines got a chuckle out of me. I think that it was the tonal dissonance and absurdity. Anyway, the developers did an excellent job!

By the thinking sequence, what Crum did to Mint (and Fuschia) was not pretty. And it may have been endorsed by the executives for all we know since the original showrunner didn't want Crum to replace him for a reason and by Crum wanting to have a radical change in the show that would have already alienated fans. Because where things went wrong for the show was the higher ups' decisions on the direction of the show leading to the original showrunner being replaced, and the fact the article has a tear on what might have been a picture of Crum, Mint was not happy about the decision. And whatever happened leading to the chainsaw incident was likely the beginning of the chain of events leading to the show's abrupt cancellation (likely having to do with Mint and Fuschia lashing out at the people responsible for their state from this chapter). And from what we see, Grant (the original showrunner) had genuine passion for the show in entertaining and educating kids and did care about Mint. But because he likely refused to comply to what the executives wanted for the show (probably either for creative reasons, thinking it wasn't a right fit, or another reason that the executives didn't like), he got replaced by someone who would. We've seen many examples how corporates have ruined many beloved series in different ways, through cash grab reboots tonedeaf to the audience on what made them love the series to begin with (Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans are some I can remember at the top of my head) or keeping the show running for so long it loses its magic (The Fairy Oddparents and Spongebob potentially) or other different ways. Many corps focusing in creative often only see the money involved from people who consume media. Just as many series that were gems and works of genuine passion got cut short because it didn't sell or make money to justify keeping it going. The story's direction might be a commentary about executive meddling in the creative entertainment space and the consequences of corporate greed on creative media and creatives, and perhaps that is the true horror of the game more so than the killer robot foxes jumpscares.

I never thought I’d see a horror game inspired by Blue’s Clues, complete with so many references to it! I’m so curious to see where the developer takes this, since it looks pretty cool, and very different from Indigo Park or Poppy Playtime!

I freaking loved blues clues, and they kept the fact that the pink one is a boy and the blue one is a girl. The first toaster line made me audibly gasp and the newspaper was "released" five days after my birthday so i had to do a double take.
