Max I have gotten is 1.30hrs on power saver mode... entertainment mode is same as performance and hv not tried silent mode...no performance issues though...heats a bit while gaming but it's normal... everything good just battery very bad....for coding I guess gpu not required so u will be getting 1.30hrs but if u use gpu only 40 mins.

I have Lenovo Legion y720 which is fully metal build. I too had same problem when I connect hdmi or charger. It is not because of metal body. It is because your earth pin is loosely in contact with your changer/Monitor. HDMI why means the earthing was not proper for your monitor too.
