The best fighting game announcer ever. Vast majority of announcers sound terrible and try too hard to be "cool" or "tough". This guy is perfect. That c-c-c-c-combo breaker line is legendary.

And despite the fact that this series was originally for Nintendo systems they never really took any ques from it truboricua. Sure the the announcer for the first 2 Smash Bros was pretty desent but after that, Nintendo hired a complete game show Goof from Brawl and onward cause we all know Nintendo is afraid of 80's Sensors and believes the only audience outside of their home country and continent are Soccer Moms! This announcer blows that one out of the Sewer Manhole!

That supposed gameshow goof was in Brawl, the announcer for smash 4 and ultimate is Xander Mobus Who is known for voicing Joker and his persona Arsene in Persona 5 showing he has some range. And I know you never mentioned Mortal Kombat but I just want to address this: Mortal Kombat X and 11 announcer is Jamieson Price, someone with naturally deep, if his voice acting roles in animation and video games are any indication. So some people can’t help supposedly “sounding like they’re trying too hard.”

Blaster and Monster combo are by far my favorite. Man I loved this game. I mixed up the combos so effectively and played my character like a guitar. I just did what I wanted, and that's what I loved about this game.

He had 4 names. Heatshade, Pyrotech, (The name of the company he worked for was Ultratech) Meltdown, and Cinder. In the first released version of the game in testing mode, his name was Meltdown. Anyone who played the test cabinet saw this version. It was later changed to Cinder in the final release. One of the arcades I played at in Bloomfield NJ had the first run test cabinet with Meltdown before the final release.

No fighting game voice is as AWESOME or as distinct as the KI announcer. I'm sure it was digitally manipulated to sound more sinister, but it sounds damn cool. Even the MK announcers can't match up to the deep-voiced pounding of KI's spokesperson.
