Killer Instinct Ripper 415 Review

We had a chance to spend some time testing the new Killer Instinct Ripper 415.
This crossbow retails for just $380, which is outstanding for a bow that produces speeds in excess of 400 fps.

The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. kzbin.infoUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

I just bought one of these and I am very impressed with it's straight trajectory. Started sighting it in at 10 yards to center bullseye then moved the bag to 20 yards and then 40 yards and 50 yards.. I did not have to adjust the scope at all from the original 10 yard sight in. The Killer Instinct Ripper 415 shoots a straight flat trajectory out to 40 to 50 yards. I walked the bag out to 60 yards and up an approximately 20 foot elevation just for curiosity. I thought that I would need to aim at least an inch higher on the center bullseye but was wrong as the 3 shots at an inch high all grouped in about a 3 inch radius 1 to 2 inches high in the bullseye. Started aiming back on center and the shots all grouped back on center. At that point I ran out of shooting space. The trigger is a little heavy but everything is very well balanced for an accurate shot. I highly recommend this very fast crossbow for the price.

I bought one 2 seasons ago and have experienced broken limbs both years. Although they replaced my broken bow limbs both times the lost downtime and one lost deer may not be worth this choice.

I always look for your reviews before I buy a crossbow. I just bought a Crossman Centerpoint Mercenary 390 Whisper. I would love to see you review that. I payed $365 for it. Im a truck driver and dont have the time to do the work you do appraising these bows. Thanks!

You know what you can buy the Bruin 410 with a 400 grain Arrow will shoot 400 feet of second and it's only a hundred and eighty-five lb Limbs and not 200 lb limbs and you can get that crossbow and camouflage for like $308 now that is one heck of a deal for the speed you get and that's 400 ft to second with a 400

Killer Intinct Ripper 415 crossbow is my favorite because it deliveres! My last deer had no idea that it was dead until 30 yards later! I swear by my KI Ripper 415! 😙🦌

Personally. I absolutely LOVE the killer instinct Lumix (not the one in the video). My Scorpyd came with a Hawke scope and I immediately replaced it with the KI Lumix. They seem to be the only company that got the reticles right. The center of the reticles are a dot and only the dots illuminate. It makes it so much easier to aim because the dots are small and don't completely cover up your damn target, and when illuminated is easy to see instead of just blinding you. Not to mention it's only $120!!

Accuracy tests are pretty much redundant on crossbows. Unless the velocity is all over the place, all crossbows have relatively the same accuracy at 20 yards. The only difference is how fast it shoots (accuracy at further distances) and who's shooting it, and how well your scope is zeroed.

I have had two of them now the first one I had I had it a couple of weeks shot it a few times only hunted with it twice the second time it broke while setting in the stand hunting so I take it back to Bass pro Bass pro did a real great job at honoring it and giving me another one first hunt I go out on with it the new one they just give me to replace the other one is nowhere to eat on my birthday and I shot a super nice 10 point with it at 70 yards and dropped him in his tracks I took it put it in the safe got it out just a little bit before season open in Oklahoma and shot it three times it was still on I took it hunting one time for 3 hours and I always carry my cube with me and when I get back to the pickup I shoot that cube and put it in the pickup go home put it in the house the next time I take it hunting is back behind my house not over on my farm I was in the stand 2 hours actually a blind and a broke again why I was in the blind I have contact killer instinct they will not get back with me I actually really like the bowl on the way it's shot the weight of it the trigger the scope the accuracy but their limbs are junk I had a Barnett predator before this boat my house got broke into they stole six guns and my crossbow and many other things that Barnett was heavy and the trigger was fifth but very accurate and I left that bow caulking in the morning and not uncock it until after I got through hunting after dark that day many times and never hurt it a bit if you are looking at The view the man doing the review is doing a great job but with my experience with them I will not have another one and I would not buy one if I was someone thinking about it
