i dont think ive actually used slowdown perks since the blight chapter. Using super aggressive and hex builds is alot more hectic and fun. ive noticed that using slowdown perks also puts you in a "protect gens" mindset instead of a "have cool chases" mindset. ever since I stopped running pop and corrupt every game, I found that I def lose kills more often but I enjoy myself more overall in matches. Take the STBFLpill and become a true shadowborncel.

I run a gen kick build on Knight, but it's a fun gen kick build. Dragon's Grip, CoB, Nowhere to Hide, and Trail of Torment. CoB makes sure I get value from every kick, even if the Survivors run out of NtH range. DG generally stops them from rushing in to tap cancel CoB/TT so I can get value from those, and if it doesn't I can usually get value from DG. And TT lets me get the drop on Survivors, especially if they tried to hide near by and got caught out by NtH. It's not a super strong build, and it can struggle against a well coordinated team, but it's a lot of fun imo.

At the end of the day it is going to depend on the caliber of survivor you go against. If they are super efficient on gens it doesn't matter how much slowdown you bring, they will end up winning at the end of the day. I have had games with my LoL Freddy build that uses Enduring, STBFL, Brutal, and fired up and have gotten 4k's with it. How? Well the survivors were just absolute shit. I then go onto the next match with the same build and absolutely get pounced on because the survivors were super efficient no matter how hard I pressured the gens. So basically just play the builds you find the most fun and don't focus on a meta.

In the first game, there were only two offerings, the right one being hidden and the left one the map offering, but how could he know if, lets say, meg used the hidden, was it zarina or feng who used the map offering. The only thing you can be certain about the offerings, as far as i know, is that nea didn't used the map offering, since she was the survivor 1 and the offering was at second position, and zarina couldnt possibly have used the secret offering, because she was the last survivor and the secret offering was in the first position

This weaker killer perks only works when players are casuals, when you face sweaty players that abuse everything it’s impossible to not play dirty. The first match being a example of “even tho they were casuals, they did nearly 2 gens before you could down one survivor”. One side definitely needs some perks for their gameplay to work, the other side just need to hold a button, since perks don’t take away your ability to loop as survivor

Or you could just play the way you enjoy, take the L, and drop to a lower mmr bracket where you get more enjoyable games. There's no reward for winning in Dead By Daylight, the only incentive to play is fun.

I like Zub a lot but dunking on potatoes with off meta, weaker killers to prove you don’t need gen slowdown isn’t a flex. 😂 Running some of these builds would result in a 5 minute loss against a good chunk of the high mmr survivor base.

It just struck me that one of the reasons Wraith is so comparatively strong in this meta is because he's the only killer on the roster who can 100% bait a Dead Hard every time. Nurse, Huntress and Blight basically just get to eat a 3rd health state, and every other killer still has to wait until a survivor gets animation locked or in a dead zone to swing. Other than maybe Legion and Slinger who can put survivors straight into Deep Wound, but that's only chasing healthy survivors they commit to fully.
