If anybody is checking these comments for a review on the movie that this game is based on. That's weird! Why are you doing that!? Anyway, I watched it after watching this. It's okay. Surprisingly fast paced for something from 1988 (my birth year). There's some nice ACAB as stuff but there's also two jokes I could do without. One where a guy jokingly imitates the portrayal of indigenous peoples in old westerns and one with the same guy joking about intersex people but in a way that's softer than some I've heard. Otherwise it kind of holds up.

Viewing art from the past through today’s ultra-sensitive progressive lens is not at all productive. I understand that you may want to “do without” many things from the past - as long as you’re not advocating for their removal. In the 80s, John Money had just started his cruel experimentation that led to his ideas on gender, eventually becoming the pseudo science that we know as “gender theory” which is taught in schools today. Maybe in the future we will be seen as immoral and abhorrent for accepting it, who knows? Whatever is mainstream and accepted as moral standard may eventually be banned from polite society. There are outliers (for example chattel slavery was known as inherently evil but it was still widely accepted) and those events will always be seen as a black eye on every society, but there are many more grey areas where ideas and theories evolve and change.

Hey, um, actually, letting people know the details if an old film contains tasteless content viewers might want to avoid or brace for is actually far more productive than going on KZbin to spread misinformation equating modern academic gender theory with historical transphobia. John Money was a transphobic, anti-intersex ideologue who lied about the results of his own unethical experiments in order to spread the idea that you could raise a child to be the gender you wanted them to be - which is the idea behind modern-day "conversion therapy", something actual academic mainstream gender theory regards as apalling. Also, relatedly, chattel slavery was very far from universally decried as "inherently evil" at the time - it was extremely popular with many so-called moral thinkers during its heyday, with many mainstream churchmen in the UK and US teaching that it was the will of God and several prominent moral philosophers inventing all kinds of racist pseudoscience in order to portray it as ethically correct for white people to consider themselves the natural superiors of other races. We consider chattel slavery inherently evil nowadays precisely because social justice activists (at the time known as "abolitionists") fought so hard to change the society that once accepted it.

You know, hypothetically, if there WERE 10 players available, this could be a pretty fun crossing the streams with a private lobby, potentially.

I'm usually not into horror games, so games like Dead By Daylight are not my jam to watch, but this was a ton of fun. Hope we get the chance to see it on stream again sometime!

I love the movie! I'm not sure about the Trolls film, but the masks from Killer Klowns were painted and reused for some trolls in Ernest Scared Stupid.

I don't know where people go to recommend games for Let's Nope, but a group of friends and I played through Slay the Princess and it was super cool and spooky.
