@@thugdoughnut Exactly. I'm a big proponent for games like these, but this is just fumbling the bag and the game is not even out yet. First, there was no consistent messaging on when news would arrive. Then, there was the excuse of paperwork for why things weren't coming out. Finally, radio silence with a "we're not trying to pull a Day Before" when they are already following what FNTASTIC is doing communication-wise. This post was months ago, it doesn't take multiple months to release a "good" gameplay video unless the gameplay itself is unfinished or bad to begin with. I'm not a professed game developer, but at least relay some official communication on the game instead of leaving it ambiguous for the community. If this is how they treat the community when roadblocks pop up, I'm concerned how they'll treat it when inevitable roadblocks appear later. They have a good bureaucracy of developers too--Good Shepherd, Teravision, Randy, and the Chiodo brothers; maybe this isn't good since it makes things complicated, but it would've been better to hear news back in March rather than in June by the Chiodo brothers. This isn't even taking into account how they stealthily moved their community manager off the Killer Klowns Discord and project in general. The nail in the coffin for me was funnily March 8, I believe, when they were supposed to show something as incredibly small as Shorty's toes. They couldn't even show that! It's amazingly absurd how screwed up the timeline became, especially coming from that bold Gamescom announcement. I don't think the dedicated community in the KKFOS Discord even cares about what is going on, urging "patience" when there are barely any noticeable, official statements on the status of this game. It didn't help the official Teravision website kept the killer klowns "EARLY 2023" up on their website when we were way past that point. I'm really passionate about this game as I was for games like Last Year, F13, VHS, and HSHS. Unfortunately, this lack of communication/history of excuses, neglect of their community, and overall disappearance makes me question what this game's goals are in the long-run. If they can't communicate now, I distrust any notion they will in the future. When gameplay x is unbalanced, let's not (properly) address it and let it sit, kind of like Saber's treatment of Evil Dead. The momentum they had is greatly dying out, and with the Texas Chainsaw game around the corner I sincerely doubt it will leave a mark on the genre. All that being said, I still hope it is successful. It just *needs* better management than right now. ill use this as reference for the future ig
