They grew up, they literally went through war, and super hell to save the world. They made friends time and again only to watch them die fighting for someone else with it only getting worse every time they set out. They are war vets and one of the guys who helped put them through that showed up and asked them to do it again acting like they should be happy or honored. Honestly the restraint they had not to curse him out/ sock him when they realized he was mortal is amazing.

However, this was my first animatic and I wanted to keep it fairly simple and just have fun with it, not so much as a way to practice drawing.
