This book was certainly a page turner and you made excellent points about their views in life 👍🏻 The build up to the end was so good, I felt a bit dissappointed in the end. Other than that, I thought it was a very good thriller and I loved the discussion in the group 😉

Yes, I'm making a lot of concessions for it, but it was just so different from anything else, I had to forgive it.

Always an amazing review from you. I think I may have to put this on a list of mine that you review that I would like to read. I am reading The Becoming, 2nd book in the trilogy Dragon Heart Legacy right now to be ready for the 3rd book in November. It doesn’t take me long to read these as I really enjoy this series.

Dang does sound completely wild lol also keeping in your mind Joe and Jed explaining everything must have been difficult even listening to it I was like doing mental math. Authors, throw us a bone! Make names different. Lol Excellent review. Does sound fascinating. Is that disease like a real thing?

I think "Unsettling" is the perfect word you used in describing how this book sounds. I think the element of not being believed would be too much for me, I'll stick to your review on this one (great review though)

Great review. I read this many years ago and it still has the most disturbing beginning of any book I’ve ever read. I remember the novel overall feeling unpleasant and weird - I agree with your definition of uneasy and unsettling. McEwan is a terrific, terrific writer, but to me his work has a coldness and a distance to it.
