Just saw my first ever Scorsese to watch in theater. Absolutely worth it, i didn't feel the long length, was absolutely fantastic. Hoping to see it gets nominated for a lot of awards, Lily Gladstone is a rising star

Portrayal of native Americans felt more like Easter Eggs than plot driven The whole movie was basically a gold digger inheritance drama Didn't get good for me until the FBI showed up which was over 2 hours into the film Epilogue was a nice touch reminds me of something Wes Anderson would do. For me personally i say it's okay. far from a masterpiece

I agree. For a story about the Osage, most of them were made into background characters. I'm sure the Osage people of the present also have their own criticisms on this. I disagree with the length of the film not wasting time since several scenes were repeated or delivered facts to us that we already knew. The movie is good, but I feel a better adaptation of the book could still be made. Large chunks of novel are left out, particularly the latter third describing the Osage in the present day. I did love the ending presented in the film, though.

After initially wanting to wait until streaming just because of the subject matter and being called unnecessary names like "cinema killer" or "killer of theatrical experience", which I'm not, I forced myself to give in and watch it. I did a few days ago and while this is a great film, it is a movie that takes a lot of you emotionally and it is far too long to the point where I say we should bring back intermissions and the subject matter is really damn harsh (which the subject matter was the reason why i wanted to wait until streaming, but i decided to give in). A fantastic film from Scorsese but this is a movie I will only have the patience to sit through once and I'll never sit through it again. I can also see some people especially native Americans being angry or walking out of this movie. However, its a movie I'm glad it got made and I'm glad i saw. Solid review, Zach

isn't Gladstone a supporting character in the film? I heard the film mostly focuses on Leo and De Niro.

@@ZachPopeReviews apparently it'd her decision to go supporting. her decision to go lead technically makes sense cause after all, she's the most prominent female character in the film., like Amy Adams was in The Master. anyways, the most common complain I've heard about the film is that it lacks Molly's perspective and that it should've focused on her more.
