Honestly this is pretty tame compared to some I've had. My most recent memory was a nurse game, which was also on Dead Dawg Saloon. The match was the nurse not getting any hooks and bleeding the 2 randoms in the lobby immediately. My friend and I had found this guy 3 games before this (not consecutively but close by) so we knew what we were in for. In the previous two matches everyone was either bled and dry humped until their 4 minutes ended or they dced, or they were last second hooked and camped just for the sake of it to make the match last longer for them. The nurse was running infectious, and whatever the aura reading perk while you carry a survivor is. In the last match we had them we already knew what was coming so we searched chests for a key and I did end up finding one. Same thing happened. First two randoms got bled pretty quickly as mentioned before and my friend was also bled for about half his bleed bar until he was let wiggle free. My friend just started doing gens in front of the killer to get the killer to either let him progress the game state by doing gens or progress the game state by picking him off them and dropping him (Each time he was dropped was a bit closer to bleeding after all.) When he was on the shoulder he would always tell me when to enter a locker if he was close. This went on for maybe 30 minutes with the killer grabbing my friend, dropping him, kicking the gen, and waiting until my friend would wiggle off so he could start the now regressed gen, until he finally bled out and the hatch spawned. I didn't even end up needing the key as it spawned by me. Was probably my most satisfying escape I've had. The killer afterward complained about us wasting his time which was funny and hypocritical. Good memory of a bad experience in any case.

The sable ratting you out is so relatable because I, on 3 different occasions, have been ratted out. Why? Do you think I teabagged? Sandbagged? Kept missing skillchecks? Wasnt altruistic? If you thought yes, you'd be wrong! I did two generators each time, took hits for deadhook, saved just about everyone 3 times over + heals, and yet the one person who didnt do anything all game gets hatch and killer hits me on hook, teabags me (or "humps"), and everything else! Hooray for DbD! I love this community so much! So peaceful and welcoming! The one time that it happened with a Kate and a Chucky, the kate obviously gave up! i had bond and she kept flicking her flashlight and vaulting to get him to kill her. but at the end, when he let her go.. she ratted me out, since I was waiting for hatch. because why the fuck am I going to do a generator if you're giving up? I call these people "I saw a streamer do this". They watched thousands of TikTok compilations and really want to look just as cool by making niche plays, that usually don't help their team a lot. As a killer I love these players, because 99% of the time, they know the play, but not how to execute it and just throw the game by misplaying and screwing up. A 4 man with 4 flashlights, that swarm you the entire match, is literally the best thing that can happen to you, because no one is doing gens and after the first flashlight safe they are more predictable than a German train being late and they usually suck ass in chase, once they realize you won't fall for le epic CJ tech.

That doctor game experience is easily the worst experience in whole DBD 😮. its not enough that solo queue is a miserable experience by itself especially on higher ranks but then you go through games like this where killers basically take you as a hostage for 10-15 mins with you cant do anything about it. Not even joking but this problem would have been long fixed if the roles were reversed cuz the loudest people in the community for raising concerns about game balance & game health barely ever play survivor let alone it be solo queue. I'll try to break it down for people saying Zubat is just as much at fault: Hooking 3rd survivor is not a forfeit, hatch doesn't magically spawn under 4th survivors feet. Killer can easily hook, win (majority kill), and still have the opportunity to "win more" by finding the hatch first and catching the 4th survivor. Stepping forward as survivor while the killer is slugging for the 4k, however, *is* forfeiting, with no chance of victory of any kind. So one role can progress the game without forfeiting, but the other one can't. Both are definitely petty, and I've absolutely been on both sides of the situation (fuck archive challenges, both for 4ks and hatch escapes, they make the game worse), but until they let a survivor getting bled out kill themselves instantly, there will be no end to these scenarios.

The most disgusting thing about the ending match is how EASILY the other teammate will casually become the killers friend after being slugged to find the last survivor, trapping them inside the match, as well as wasting their time, but Ohhhhhh lets be buddies now. Like....just why? People are so brainless that they'll LET themselves be used like this. I had a swf that was me and another friend and I was dead giving him feed back, spectating the other survivor, during the entire time this same situation above was happening. Everyone dead except for my buddy and the sell out. Survivor would get grabbed on purpose to see the aura of my friend and I kept giving him details on where everyone is going. This lasted 20ish minutes of playing hide and seek. I've NEVER been in a game like this where people were so focused on the sell out and didn't get bored and wanted to move on to the next match. Hatch is a bad mechanic because it requires one side to concede pressure to move the game forward, and that obligation exists for both sides. People take these things personal because they are personal, because they affect individual people. I'll explain. Everyone is hostile and assumes bad faith in DBD because the game has two significant flaws: 1) Fun gameplay and optimal gameplay are mutually exclusive in this game, and 2) The mechanics leave too much room for players to act out of ego, malice, and spite, contrary to the flow of the game. Behaviors like hiding or slugging for the 4k are universally despised because they are not fun and they are intentionally caused by other players. Sure, they're optimal, but they're boring, are caused by your opponent, and remove agency from you. Every other multiplayer game I think of is designed so optimal, fun, and streamlined gameplay are identical. Shoot the other team, capture the objective, win, next game. Optimal DBD removes agency from the other players and leaves them with nothing to do. Camping hooks and tunneling people is optimal, but is boring and ruins the experience. Spending 4 minutes on the ground doing nothing so someone can get 3k extra blood points is literally a waste of time. Wandering around for 15 minutes looking for two rat players is boring because you've lost agency to move the game forward. People hate these aspects of DBD because it ruins their experience, isn't engaging, wastes their time, and is exclusively caused by their opponent to their personal detriment. It's tolerable in good faith because empathetic players will clean up their mess and let people go next ASAP. But a lot of players use bad DBD design to exert power over the other players exclusively for their own interests. So yeah, these are all game mechanics, but players are jaded from experiencing poorly designed game mechanics that allow their opponent to benefit from their suffering, especially when it happens countless times from sociopathic strangers in public lobbies. The old adage, "if you don't like the game experience, play something different," is absolutely correct here, but the Survivor and Killer Rulebooks were an early expression of the persistent issues people have found with the design of this game.

(wont name names) 5 minutes he slugged a fucking bot. the full duration + more let it wiggle out and everything. because i wasnt hooked yet. so he got the bot to near death then picked it up wouldnt down it. the reason i never gave him a hook was literally strategic because he had pain res and fucking grim embrace what else are you suppose to do. other wise its 60 seconds and you lose.

Waiting for a person only hooked once to die. When she stood up, probably with Unbreakable, he didn't even healed the lady. So, he what he deserved. I get the idea, the killer wanted the guy looping him for a long time. That's why he was slugging the other one and hooked this guy at the first chance. Besides, the guy is just doing the killer's work. I'm a main survivor int his game, but I get that this "main survivor base" cry a lot for nothing. And the worst part... Behavior listens to this kind of people. It's a shame, often unbalancing the game for one side, and then they have to fix it again, and again, and again...
