The first two Turok games were based on a few stories from the Turok comics. Of course, if you do not know or read the comics, you do not understand so much of what's in the game XD

Not quite Turok 1 requires 16 pages for a save game and a controller pack has 128 pages. But if you use a controller pack only for Turok, you can do a savegame for one level at a time. Turok 2 wierderum needed 90 pages which was almost a whole controller pack

I'm inclined to think this actually looks better than most of the videos I see of the PC remaster where people have increased the FOV and fog distance. Yes, the resolution is low, the textures are ugly, and the fog is extremely close-but these levels are clearly designed for the FOV and view distance on the N64. It just doesn't have the same creepy-jungle ambiance when you increase the visibility. (In fact, if you go read some of the original reviews of _Turok_, they talk about the creepiness of beasts leaping out of the fog "fangs first.")
@Killertamagotchi
@Killertamagotchi 7 жыл бұрын
The fog in the N64 version was also used for gameplay elements. Thus, very often, traps such as falling rocks are hidden by the fog, which can be seen in the Rematert version for miles
