My very first playthrough of new Vegas on PS3 (yes it was pain) was a hardcore playthrough siding with Caesar. I just love Caesar's legion aesthetic. Post apocalypse Rome is just so unique and fun to me

Not too surprised, there’s little reason to side with the Legion outside of role playing/completionism or being a IRL fascist. FNV is my favourite game of all time, but it could’ve been even better if they had time to add more legion content and make them more tempting to side with. Show us legion territory that’s the safest area on the map, for example.

NCR is a rotting goliath, they are already losing extremely hard at the start of the game and there is no doubt they will lose without courier intervention. Their economy is crippling, inflation will only get worse over time( their currency is worthless, unlike Legion’s) their politicians are corrupted, hell it’s clear to say that by the start of FNV Brahmin barrons are the real rulers of NCR, if you consider all of that there is quite a lot of reasons to despise NCR and perhaps see some good in Legion

The two reasons I couldn't side with the legion was the slavery and the "in order for humanity to survive into the future we need to stop progressing and reject all technological advancement." Especially since Romans were very much about agriculture and technological advancement. Yes they had slaves, but they didn't literally choose to be dumb to "save" humanity.

Recently attempted this just to give myself a reason to use the Throwing Spears from the Tribal Pack DLC lol Ended up sneak-killing Boone with the Golden Gloves, letting the Van Graffs kill Cass (it still hurts) but thwarting their attempt to sabotage the Legion, letting the Omertas bomb the Strip with Chlorine, wiped out Camp Forlorn Hope + Nelson with Liberator (and Dead Sea), having Caesar forgive me for bombing Dry Wells by killing Benny at The Tops…and also booming the Long 15 (Lonesome Road before Ring-A-Ding-Ding), getting those Boomers to fix his Howitzer, blowing up the monorail at McCarran, replacing Papa Khan…only to make the Great Khans become Legionnaires, helped the Powder Gangers with the NCRCF & their little Vault, curing Caesar’s tumor, blowing up Mr. House with a Satchel Charge, becoming a Ghost Person (Hazmat Suit from OWB), killing Lanius with his own sword, and still managing to mow down General Oliver + Co. for the crime of not letting me go inside his bunker! Once I went primal, the Legion was the only choice for the Female Courier I played 😂 Too bad she immediately became a broodmare and stay-at-home mother for the rest of her days in the aftermath

I did this because I hate NCR. It was really annoying because a lot of the NCR respawn and try to kill you. Also they constantly send hit squads which is really annoying. Fighting the 1st Recon guys at Camp Mccaren was the hardest part.
