I remember when the game first came out and Hans was more of an actual threat. The only time I see a party wipe to him on HoE is when the team is dumb and stand on his frag grenades at the start of his final phase. Beta version Hans would chase you down with his claws and zero to death you. You actually had to have good party teamwork, parry his 3 hit combo, and know how to handle him. Pretty much every boss in the game nowadays can only kill you if you're new and don't know their instakill attack (Hans frag grenade, Patriarch one in the pipe, King FP laser).

Ya, there have been a few times when I wasn't playing attention though and stood a grenade and got blown up or when the Patriarch decided to shoot a rocket around the the corner and I walked into it.

I would like a couple more bosses. They just upgraded a bloat and a fleshpound to boss status, I would like to see scrakes, crawlers, and sirens get the same treatment. The results could be fairly refreshing and unique.

That would be pretty cool to see. I like the idea of a scrake or crawler boss.

the matriarch is like a siren on steroids but i agree with you bro. they need at least one or two more bosses to drop.

I think Hans is the most well designed boss in Killing floor 2. He feels great since he is different from the other types of zeds and not just a tweaked up version. Hans requires team coordination, no insta-kills just bursty options (grenades), close combat, and range. He also changes the playing field slightly by using smoke and gas, restricting areas or line of sight. Which is why I think I he other bosses are not bad but, feel lackluster compared to Hans. You don't have to have difficult boss to be fun.

Yeah! I can get behind that Hans is probably my favorite too!

You should do a tier list on all the zeds. Like s tier are the most dangerous zeds and d tier are the least dangerous.
@ReapeeRon

I could do that, but I think it would depend on which class you are playing as. Sharpshooter is kinda weak to fast sneaky zeds like the crawlers and stalkers, but Firebug rips through them like they are nothing.

I think I always liked Hans and the King Fleshpound best qualitatively because they seem the most consistent and a fair challenge. The Patriarch can be killed in like 30 seconds if he gets trapped or he could be the hardest boss if you don't exploit that. Matriarch can be similarly inconsistent depending on class comp and the Abomination is almost always a joke unless you have a really bad team or weapon choices.

Mine for Solo: S - Hanz (Multiplayer), if HoE is your pick, the team has to be VERY capable and pack ALWAYS a firebug with fire DoT in the team to speed the rate the shield and Hp go down, a single slip can blow the team's chances A- Patriarch, staple Boss, has all ranges covered and Maps pretty much make a must to have commando if you enter a Multiplayer room, Solo wise he's still beatable, but his constant flow of fodder zeds and the pseudo added boss length from his heals makes him just ok; Matriarch, another ok boss, Multiplayer ha her be predictable to a fault, she's also a rather pesky boss given she has damage types other bosses usually lack and it may be very necessary to pack both DoT and High alpha damage classes that have to spread a bit B- KFP and Abomination, pretty standard enlarged common ZED made boss, lack the unique quirks other bosses have and are pretty much only an annoying existence if given the chance in MULTIPLAYER, solo wise they're barelly a huge upgrade over their fodder base; C Hanz, solo he's here since he has only ONE target to seek when shield is up and his unique weakness to fire when knocked down makes him ez peasy

My tier list for the bosses(solo) S- King fleshpound (unless I'm Demo) A- Abomination (high dps and spawns in ridiculous spores sometimes) B- None C- Matriarch (I only find her difficult because of her constant robot spawns) Lower C tier- Patriarch (minigun can be tough to dodge at times unless you're really far from him because of the accuracy of it) D- Hans(my first boss kill when I was really new to the game and is usually easy to figure out after awhile) Patriarch warnings when he attacks- "Who here likes guns?" - Usually about to use his minigun "You're driving me ballistic"- Rockets if I'm correct "Bullets anyone?" - minigun again Hopefully those three quotes help with telling which attack he's about to initiate

I think that you are right about the quotes.

@@ReapeeRon I probably missed a few important quotes from him but those I remember right off the top of my head. I think he does say something when he runs off and you're killing his"children" but most times I let him run off for the extra exp from the clots or whatever spawns in.

I don't understand how some idiot decided it was a good idea to add robots in a game where you fight zombie-like creatures

And to have a boss spawn only them.

I have nearly 1700 hours experience with demo and I would say about hoe: İn multiplayer: S: Hans A: Matriarch B: Patri C: Kingy E: Abomi (Not a boss on 4p&5p&6p, we usually finish over 80+ armor and hp, it should be buffed) On solo: S: Patriarch A: Abomination (Because of the spawns) C: Matriarch, King FP D: Hans. Patriarch is hardest boss of the game in solo, 2p and 3p team. His minigun attack can not be defendable&dodgable with slow perks and more dangerous than matriarch's cannon plasma laser. Even if I have 100 hp and 100 armor, minigun kills me into 1-2 sec. from the close range.
@ReapeeRon
@ReapeeRon 3 жыл бұрын
Patriarch is the boss that I struggle with the most in solo, but I figured that was just me. If I play Sharp/Gunslinger then he isn't any more of a threat then any of the other bosses, but for anyone that can't do tons of damage and kill him right away he can be a pain. Also you can parry his minigun with the Bone Crusher, but it has a very strange timing.
@Prodigial
@Prodigial 3 жыл бұрын
Patriarch isn't that bad in solo; find a structure to kite him around (think a pillar or the bus on Nuked). He will never get an attack off on you except for maybe a kick or melee attack which cannot 1 shot you. If he announces his minigun attack with a voice line and there's nowhere to hide, run right up into his face. If you stand directly in front of him, his gun can't hit you. Other perks can unload point blank into his face but I guess Demo not so much. At least it's guaranteed safety.
@mrtpsr4430

@@Prodigial Yes, I know hugging the patriarch method. But it is not good way with demo, because he kills me before I reach him into 2 seconds. The other challenge is turning around bus (cover etc.): he catches and hits me because of his movement speed faster than me. I found only 1 way to kill him with seal squeal (with the concussion rounds stumble contribution and works better than armor piercing rounds against patri): I should always run and fire to ground. When he chasing me my explosives detonates on him. Otherwise if I turn back and try to hit him with rpg or other weapons, he hits me with his melee attach %80. Rocket and missiles aren't problem due to my %60 explosive resistance.
@Prodigial
@Prodigial 3 жыл бұрын
@@mrtpsr4430 He should be slow around corners and circular barriers where he has to keep adjusting his angle are a nightmare for him. Even Demo should be able to outpace him since he has to pause before starting a melee attack. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpfMl6ZobaiVfqM&ab_channel=rapkoristgames This video came up on initial search but it does a decent job showing what I mean. I think the RPG is better but the tactics remain the same. Most of the damage comes from self damage (the Demo is level 4) and just a tiny bit from Patriarch.

I like Hans because he can be challenging. I kind of like the Matriarch depending on the team.

Hans can be quite the wild card. More so if you are playing a custom map that messes with gravity. Some of the maps that I have got him on as soon as you knock him down he flies off into space and dies. lol.
