Killing Floor 2 | CHRISTMAS UPDATE NEWS! - The Not So Christmas Update! (Also Leaked Items)

Welp (we all knew this map was going to come anyway) It is a bit disappointing that we haven't gotten proper themed updates for 2 years now... So I will say the same thing I say every year... Let's hope 2021 will be better xDDD
Honestly I love this game, a very nice relaxing chill game to jump in and play, but also the type of game that needs good updates to stay relevant, so let's all hope for a bright future :D This update sadly won't be anything special 2 weapons (only 1 free) 1 map and a couple of number changes.

I could listen to you talk all day, I do also enjoy raw gameplay from you, it's satisfying to watch. You also asked what I think about the game... I think it went downhill 2 years ago, they should have quit development back then instead of becoming greedy. Also we were promised big updates because of DLC. Still waiting for big updates. I respect you for still sticking with this game. I don't enjoy the game myself, but I enjoy watching you playing it! Can’t help but feel like that if these events gave people a chance to get new weapons or the DLC weapons though grinding the event, then people might actually come back and play the game. Nobody really wants or needs new cosmetics at this point, it’s just pointless filler that doesn’t interest the casual player.

I love this map, really took me a while to find all the secrets with a friend, the secret roses, is not that much besides a little bit of Cthulhu lore and a few cool scenarios, I hope TW keeps those secrets in!

I hope at E3 2021 Tripwire at least say something about KF3. Doesn't have to be a full reveal or even a teaser but KF2 is made on UE3 and UE5 will be out at that point and with PS5 and new Xbox would be a good idea

Killing Floor 2 feels like one of those games you need to keep paying to keep playing. All the proper new content aka guns go behind an expensive paywall. Updates are medicore at best. I remember when event reward was an outfit and not another backpack every time. When there were actually new guns being added without the DLC shenanigans. Now we get overpriced guns, maps the devs didn't even make and a bucket load of microtransactions as well as mundane seasonal objectives.

Killing floor 1 have the same updates and the end of the game, comunity maps and making dlcs. The HRG weapon have his owns stats and gameplay for those perks, and some of those weapons make better for the Survivalist perk

And i thought Yuletide Horror was least themed cristmass, but at least back then we it was some kind of "nightmare before cristmass" and felt like a holiday themed map, themed after halloween but whatever, it was themed, Elysium just doesn't fit as any event map that they were adding, more like "casual" update map, if they had it. Btw due to Tripwire update style, it limits their own creativity, they can't just add whatever map they want, it gotta be tied in with Event: "Circus/steampunk", "cyberpunk", "Halloween", "Cristmass".

They r releasing new maps but I hope they fixed the stuck in the wall (in the corner) bug from the Monter Ball map , around the disco area. I got pushed by a fleshpound there and I got stuck in the corner and couldn't move but at least I could fire from there. The whole team got killed one by one by the Flesh King boss and when the boss came to me, even if I was stuck in the corner and easily get damaged, I used the RPG-7 to fire and kill it. Its not an exploit that bug because you still can take damage from zeds but you cant move around if you get stuck in the corner. I agree with you that this map doesn't really fit the Christmas theme, but if they add some snow and some Christmas decorations around, that might work.

Seems Tripwire has been putting most of their efforts in the multi platform launch of Man Eater (or Meh' Eater) Chivalry 2 (which has been delayed) and their VR games. They still talk up KF2 on their social media so it's not like they have forgotten about it but think KF2 future will depend more on the community until TW makes up it's mind if they want to double down, treat KF2 as their TF2 or start investing into developing KF3. Only time will tell.

Well at least we can buy exactly the weapons we want from the KF store. In the future when they decide to charge players for all the weapons, maps and cosmetics through loot boxes let's remember how KF2 wasn't so bad after all. So for now this isn't the worst scenario... maybe until KF3 comes around. Yikes. And do we really need a Christmas or Halloween themed map every holiday? The ones that are in the game now are very cool, otherwise the whole KF map list would be just holidays. And what is the point of a holiday if it's every day. You gotta keep it special, that's why existing holidays maps are special.

the only way forward for killing floor are 2 ways: 1... make more stuff like before in 2021 with maps and no hrg or dlc unlikely but MAYBE a possibility? option 2: they just gave up on kf2 and just focus on kf3 cuz no matter how much u fix and release in kf2 it wont bring in as much players and money as a new game would make...... guess we can only hope and wait i still enjoy the game from time to time but not much more....
