One tip for commando who has already entered zed time is to not kill every zed in sight immediately but to time your shots & kill them at the very last moment of zed time to extend it.

Absolutely have to go for the Medic AR in the Commando load out. It’s good with Medic, but it is SUPER strong with Commando.

Dont use explosives vs FPs as Commando. Not grenades, not the M16. Use the FAL. Sure, spamming explosives works fine if you play solo, but on 6P HOE you´ll get destroyed for it. Meta OP loadout: 401 + FN-FAL.

So as a player whose brand new to the game, what would be the best perk to try to level up first?

I would say try out each of the classes and see what weapons you enjoy using. All the Classes are pretty good in there own way. If you want a strong class that doesn't take much time to get good with I would suggest trying out Support or SWAT. They both have weapons that are pretty easy to use. Swat has probably the strongest early game, but has a little harder time as the match goes on. Support is strong at any point and provides value to the team.
