401's an easy S teir; It has a HUGE magazine with a speedy reload giving it loads of up time which is what you want as a trash killing perk and this makes it great for extending zed time. It has enough damage to hit all the important trash killing thresholds that you'd want as well as a high fire rate for the few things that take more than 1 shot. It has a massive reserve ammo count, at 440 rounds (goign up over 500 with prepared) which considering its only 7kg means its extremely ammo efficient and has space to pair it with something harder hitting like the FAL - solving its ammo issues. It has a huge amount of stumble power, this means you can take fallback for the higher swap speed (again great for zed time) and still have a weapon with loads of stumble to easily deal with scrakes that get too close. Its hard getting away from the 401 its just so damned efficient. Also the M16 is only really good for FP's if you are playing solo, their HP scales with more players making the explosive damage insignificant and its no faster than trying to kill one with an M79 which most people know isnt a good idea. Its decent for QP's though as a direct hit + a frag should kill or be lower enough to mag dump.

As being said here, 401-Medic Assault Rife is a great weapon for Commando. It's my "Always take this!" -weapon for this perk unless I want use something else for fun. I usually pair it with Scar (upgraded once) and choose High-Capacity Magazine -skill. It has a lot more ammo and total damage than FN FAL, and mag size is tolerable now. Agreed that I'm not much of a Fleshpound killer, but extending zed time and soloing Scrakes is easy. Since there's still room for a weight of 1, I choose Medic Pistol (upgraded once), making me an effective secondary healer for the team. I know no one else use this loadout, but I like it.

It is a good weapon. If you do t have a medic on the team you can use the 401 to heal teammates and do commando damage which makes it a good weapon overall

ok which better... Thompson or the bullpup? cuz to me.. both are trash ngl..i just rather rebuy the ar15 then fil the ammo for the 2nd or 3rd wave and save money for something else

Yes I would recommend you do that. I would save up for an AK12 or a M208 as they cost around 1100 dosh. In terms of Thompson vs bullpup I would say the bull pup is better as it has better sights but I would recommend you save for something better like the AK12 or the M16 M208. The M208’s alt fire shoots explosives and shoots bullets making it good for flesh pounds and everything else

Not gonna lie, FAMAS design is horrible in my opinion, if they removed the scope it will be better

For me I like the design of it, but tbf I wish it was full auto instead of burst
