Hello again! In this video I return to a classic map in Killing Floor 1. Ice Cave. Elysium was chosen as the Christmas map for this year. While it was a nice addition to the game, it lacks any festive cheer since it was never a Christmas map to began with. I wanted to spice things up and take it upon myself to bring back the festivities that Tripwire is known for. Ice Cave was the perfect choice for not only the season but, for the weapon Frost Fang on support.
Ice Cave is a direct port from Killing Floor 1. They updated the textures and lighting to an insane degree. It's nice to play a classic with this much attention to detail. Despite this, KF1 maps, never mesh well with KF2s gameplay since KF1 was slower and more methodical. KF2 plays faster, and is less forgiving. Ice Cave is a difficult map because of it's cramped layout. It has zed spawns littered all throughout the map. There is always discomfort when playing from any position and kiting is difficult because of your limited movement options. Despite this, it's quite enjoyable to play.
