A really powerful weapon for the sharpshooter (I don't really play much medic so don't know how good it is on that perk) I do feel like it's a better performer on the sharp since it has more damage.
Really love the trash clearing potential this thing has. If you know the correct time to throw the alt fire at zeds, you can clear giga trash.

Tbh, I think I still prefer the incision even knowing how strong the Carbine is. Biggest downside of this thing is the super slow alt-fire recharge speed, whereas the Incision benefits from the relevant passive bonuses

Friendly reminder that all late-game sharpshooter weapons have the downside of not being the FAL or HRG Beluga Beat, since those weapons help offset the Sharpshooter's downside of being as agile as a drunk cow on cocaine due to those guns having good trash cleaning power. The FAL is a pretty solid option for killing the weakest and strongest of zeds, but ammo pool makes it pretty crappy against everything in between.

I agree with you on everything about it. Its extremely better on sharpshooter but its nice to have on field medic since its still strong though the scope is atrocious but it still does the job though there are better options for field medics

What do you mean by goes off by itself, it's the alt fire... you need to shot it at a zed so it sticks, then you need to kill that zed for the explosion to occur. If you don't kill him in time, the green stuff just vanishes and does nothing.

It's just muscle memory, if you want to get it faster, just start a solo normal match and just bash zeds over and over. When you feel comfortable on normal difficulty, change it up to hard and so on.

Sweet the weight for the gun is perfect. Survivalist dead huh. Normally and hell on earthly I rock Mosin/AMR with the extra 5lbs,molotovs and the quicker syringe perk for a all arounder death dealer. However now I can replace the Mosin with the corrupter for a mis on the healing grenades. Ohh yeah boy. Thanks Pacmanfinder! Man I want this update on Xbox already.

You can purchase the armory pass and unlock all DLC weapons, or you can wait for the official update and purchase them separately.

install beta in game properties (Steam) and they all will be available for you, but you'll need to buy armory pass or individual weaps when the actual update would release in about a month

Why is it called carbine if its bolt-action? Am I having my weapon-terms wrong here or what? Also, the healing-clouds it leaves do less damage to zeds than healing grenades, but the explosion damage is very high. I think it can also be decent on the medic, as the dispenser-heal also gives the buffs and can have a lot of uptime. No faster recharge for the disruptor-charge tho. But havent tested yet on MP, so dear pathfinder, if you dont mind, please do :)

Only the initial explosion kills zeds, the cloud doesn't poison them, but it does heal however. Not sure if that's intentional or not.

Medic had to heal teammates or debuff zeds as his priority, not killing them This rifle is very slow on Med compared to Sharp and it's "seed" recharge rate is still pretty low to be valuable alternative for any other gun, especially Incision.

@Q17 Okay this entire topic you're targeting this at is nuanced and very wide and even the term "cancel culture" is very broad. I agree that there are some topics that are hard to understand and I can personally not agree with but this specific case is about the abortion law they pushed trough in Texas.
