Killing Floor 2 | THE SUMMER UPDATE IS OUT! Trying All Of The New Weapons And The New map! (beta)

The beta 1 is out for the summer update... Is it any good? Well all I can say is that it has 50% more than the previous update, yey? Was expecting a bit more truth be told, but who am I kidding right xD
Anyways, in this update we got 1 new map and 4 new weapons, 2 are Free and 2 are DLC. The DLC ones can be obtained with commands (keep in mind you have to enable cheats which means you won't be leveling up your perk) And my opinion on them is that they are... OK.
If you want to test these out for yourselves:
1. Start a game and press f3 or ¸¸
2. Type in... enablecheats
3. Then paste:

@@GigaBowserXL Gunslinger has always been pay to 2 win class and nearly on their weapons are very strong because rack em passive and normal level scaling. Sharpshooter has similar damage, but SS has to stand still. Gunslinger is high mobility sharpshooter on steroids.

The Rhinos are genuinely shit above Suicidal due to low ammo efficiency and having no synergy with Gunslinger's usual go-to kit and the Frostbites are literally useless.

But like Azi said, there's been nothing to actually BUY for the Gunslinger until now, except the Rhinos, which were pretty underwhelming. I would also argue that Berserker and Medic are much more broken/OP than Gunslinger due to their extremely high survivability (AND high damage, in Berserker's case), although 'slinger is definitely up there near the top.

I don't think anything wrong with powerful weapons because at the end of the day, your just beating PVE zeds. It's your choice whether you want to use a meta weapon like RPG Demo or a shit weapon like old Seeker Six.

I think it's about time they come out with a fancy map. Monster Ball, The Tragic Kingdom and Santa's Workshop are awesome. For the past 1-2 years they just keep releasing the same looking maps :/. Would be awesome if they went all in again on a map and made like a fairy rainbow land, or I even saw an outer space map in the game?? Would have been really nice if they had this map made up of a tropical island with pirate ships you could fight one and such. They're not putting much imagination into these new map updates.

But continuing from their initial introduction of paid DLC, I guess p2w is the natural progression at this point...

What else can you really ask for other than a new map and weapons? It's really the same thing most shooter games do. They give you maps and weapons for updates. Sure, they could add a new mode but I think most people just want to play the normal mode anyway.

@@PeugeotRocket True, but we want actual QUALITY maps and weapons, like they used to put out. Just look at last summer's Steam Fortress, for example - an actual UNIQUE map - compared to this summer's community-made Desolation. The community puts out some great stuff, but Saber/Tripwire need to put out a community map AND one of their own, instead of being lazy and just hi-jacking all the community's work (they technically paid the mappers a reward during last year's mapping contest, but still). This new "alliance" of companies completely botched the opportunity to follow up on last year's Steam Fortress objective mode with an awesome space pirate-themed map and some pirate skins for the Zeds. What we got instead was this mish-mash of clowns, a jungle base, and...pirates?? How does any of this even fit together??? They set themselves up perfectly for a great follow-up to Steam Fortress, with an actual ROCKET LAUNCHING INTO SPACE at the end of it, but nope - "Epic" fail (pun intended). And don't even get me started on the balance issues some of these new weapons are introducing. The best we can hope for is that they give enough of a crap to actually CHANGE a few things from the betas they're currently doing - but even something as simple as that seems like a stretch to expect from them these days.

I'm kinda hoping they debuff the G18C cause that's a fairly op weapon. Like yeah, you are on solo, but still. As for the HRG weapons. Eh, I don't see anything too wrong with them, damage wise and all that. The blunderbuss needs to be hella fixed. The explosive shot needs a bigger range, it needs to do more damage, in it's current state there is little reason to even buy it or use it even with console commands.

For me tripwire just gave up on the skins of guns and cosmetics not making enough money so they make the actual new guns for pay to make money (which don't get me wrong you gotta do what you gotta do to get food on the plate) they should just lower the price for the guns you know And about the maps ik they can do better with then and making them more connected to the season, like this holiday map could have been another Christmas map but nope let's just put another map that makes more sense for a Halloween map. I do like the Blunderbuss and it's fire modes. The glock18 on the other hand is very powerful, but looks very bland. Twi devs should have picked the Mauser C96 and make that the automatic pistol for the Gunslinger...

I have been very patient with Tripwire up until now, because I love this game to death. But this. I just can't even anymore. Did I seriously see yet another PAID BUNDLE on the main menu with all the themed cosmetics in it? "x 30," (yes, THIRTY items) it said?? What, are they not even doing event tickets now??? And they heavily implied that there was going to be an objective mode on this new map (well, "new," since it's a community map most of us have played before), but I guess they even gave up on that, too? What. Is. HAPPENING?? And when all the pictures of the update items leaked, I assumed the "Space Pirate" outfit was just an unfinished placeholder image, since it looks like the bare graphical outlines of a product. But nope. It's shipping like that - and of course, we can't even earn it from the seasonal objective. It's PAID. AGAIN. I was okay with the paid DLC weapons for a while, but this. Just monetizing the ever-living crap out of everything. Their greed is so blatant it's sad. It would almost be excusable if they made all the items actually good quality - almost. But they're getting worse than the "free" stuff we used to get. And why couldn't they at least give us some pirate-themed zeds? I've wondered about this for a long time, because even before all the DLC weapon shenanigans, they would always go on about how they would continue to provide "new maps, new weapons, new zeds, etc." But they have never put out a single new zed re-skin for any of the events - they've always used the exact same zed models for every seasonal event. And the last "new" zed type was, what...EDARS, like years ago? (Unless you count the Matriarch, I guess.) Really poor showing, Tripwire. You've finally turned me from a loyal fan into a skeptic. And I think I was probably one of the last.

I still play KF2 almost on daily basis. But damn, as a regular player, this update is stupid. The amount of servers is so limited along with the players that I see every other day. Got bunch of golden crates that I don't even bother to open because all they give is shitty repeated skins of different colour.
