Killing Game is a dramatic play written by Eugene Ionesco in 1970, in the style of Theatre of the Absurd. The play takes place in a small town that is suddenly hit by a plague. The bodies are piling up, and so are the moral accusations, political implications and medical speculations as the people search for any logic to explain the unknown.
Ionesco examines how a previously comfortable community turns to gossip, paranoia, hypocrisy, and opportunism in the face of crisis.
The play isn’t so much about the “killing” but more about questioning what is true. When we stop thinking for ourselves, do we essentially stop living?
Enter the Absurd: A Battle for Truth and Survival!
A gripping dive into a small town plagued by an unstoppable illness. As bodies pile up and fear takes hold, moral finger-pointing, medical debates, and wild speculation ensue. In Ionesco’s world, comfort is an illusion, and crisis brings out both the worst and the most revealing in people. When we stop thinking for ourselves, do we essentially stop living?
