This was the first album from Killing Joke I bought while I was still a teenager. To this day, it remains my favorite from KJ.

There were so many discussions about this album but i really love it. Its not a crime to give an album more keyboards and pop sounds. The whole album has a special sound and atmosphere 🙏

An absolutely beautiful hymn and a beautiful album. Reminds me so much of Northern Britain, London & Ireland in the mid 1980s - the half light illuminating the grey streets. The faded billboards, old advertisements for products that didn't exist anymore, the rain, the silence, the greasy caffs, the smoky pubs, lonely dogs pottering around the streets on their own, the cold. The only thing that kept us going as young people back then was the hope that everything would get better.

Not the most popular of Joke albums, but I love it, it carried on the tradition of each KJ album being different to any of the others. You can't please everyone I suppose!
