I hate to admit it, but I think Rusty lying to them was the best possible move. If he told them that Void Phil was still alive *and* out of the prison realm, they wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about it. I believe Rusty is making sure they dont get too worried and too involved in something that hasnt even fully established its existence in the human world. Rusty knows that two humans would definitely be killed if they got too involved with dangerous voids like Void Phil, so he’s doing a good job looking out for them. He’s probably going to find Void Phil and finish him off when Pink and Alex arent around

I understand that rusty is looking out for them to get a good night rest and stuff but their guard needs to be up, if they walk around completely blitz then void Phil could easily sneak up behind them and hurt or capture them without any warning. If they knew then at least they would know to keep look out.
