I believe alot of African-Americans can actually relate.. the good news is the fact that their roots/spiritual connection haven't been erased. The only thing missing is a bridge.

He has a past we can empathize with, and his motivations are relatable, since the guy's been held aside for his whole life. But he is NOT a good guy.

I love how one of his leitmotifs is directly the same as the ancestral plane theme. A place that connects you with the past shares a theme with a man getting revenge for his past. Wonderful music design.
