I looked up to them both when I was teenager and learning vocals. Jesse lost his voice completely at one point and I've noticed since his return his highs are nowhere near where they used to be. With that said, I still think Jesse fits the role better for this particular band while I firmly believe Howard to be better vocalist overall.

Although Howard's cleans were on another level, he can hardly compete with Jesse's screams and passion. You can see that Jesse gives his all in every performance, it's like his life depends upon every scream. Not to mention that his screams are on point and never needed to dub live performances like many singers do nowadays. In the end, much respect for both of them.

Ya know it's amazing how the minions focus on the singers and how one is supposedly so much better than the other, when the band KSE is much better and more important than either singer in this case! 이노래는 제시가 훨신 더 잘부르고 어울린다. 킬스위치의 음악도 상당부분 제시의 목소리와 어울린다고 생각한다. 극한의 절규와 파워가 느껴진다. 이에비해 하워드는 노래는 진짜 잘한다. 특히 고음이 안정적이며, 부드럽다. 고음이 필요한 음악스타일이 있다. 하지만 하워드는 뭔가 이노래하고는 어울리지 않는다고 생각한다.

Ok, enough with the Howard vs Jesse vocals, but: I would assess that ultimately Jesse is the better singer for a metalcore band. If one were to consider metalcore was developed from a fusion of hardcore punk and metal, then it would be sensible to judge that the better singer in that genre would have a better overall combination of cleans and fries. That’s Jesse. Where’s Howard in this? He’s the better metal singer overall, but he lacks game in the fries and goes operatic in the cleans, a signature of modern metal in general. So really Jesse fits the band because he’s a Metalcore vocalist. The end.
