The main enjoyment of this show is watching Tony go from half-joking at the start of the show about firing his manager and then trying to imagine his interior monologue as he clasps his face tighter with every passing act, thinking more and more seriously about firing his manager. Man from Bradford toward the end was desperately needed.

To be fair, we are hearing a direct feed from the sound board. They have one monitor speaker on stage in a large theater with a loud house PA system echoing around the theater. It's quite amusing that Tony and the crew clearly thought: 'We want to do an international show, where would this work? England. Ireland. Right? At least everyone will be able to understand each other.' Without seemingly having any idea that there are dozens of very different accents in Ireland and the UK and that some of them are not far-off being impenetrable for foreign English speakers. This shit would be so much easier if they did it in Sweden, or Holland, or Norway, or a few other European countries where an absolute fuckload of young/youngish people speak English, only with simple generic accents and using almost zero English vernacular that Tony wouldn't understand. I expect that the London show should be easier; it's the north of Britain and parts of Ireland that has most of the harder accents to understand. London has some vernacular accents sporting from very rough areas that Tony would have no chance of understanding, but I'm guessing that the audience there will be populated by hipsters rather than those dudes.

American idol and similar contest shows, network tv late night shows, and all the big name mainstream media venues are dead, and shows like this will take their place.
