Since it's still expensive to do so, I dont care about the ability yo buy the pass in full. Time is money for people amd what people don't understand is yhat if you run short on time, this gives you the option to buy the remaining levels you need so you dont miss out on Kyrie. Thats fair. It just looks bad because Killz is buying yhe entire thing. If it was just the fibal couple levels, thats a W overall.

2k have full control and the incentive to make you pay as much as possible. Last yr they made it harder to upgrade your myplayer (as each attribute cost more), they also gave you less/worse free cards for my team early on (i.e. no moments cards). In theory being able to pay is better for those that dont have time but 2k will make things take much longer (ruining it for everyone to encourage people to pay). It was a lot more tolerable to grind a 99 rated myplayer on 2k21 than 22 or 23 and its getting worse.

The "its just cosmetic", "its optional, you dont have to spend money" argument is so dumb, this is what happens. Anyone that spends extra money has a large advantage over anyone else - try playing parks day 1 NMS. They want you to either spend money and get what you want immediately or spend a ridiculous amount of time (where it becomes a chore). Not everyone has hours to spend on 1 videogame.

I dont mind paid content thats grindable. You get options. Some people's time is more valuable than the grind. They should ease up on thr grind for no money spent players, but if a person has loads of expendible money, they can throw some cash at it and coast, rather than feeling like they have to compromise their lifestyles to keep up. Im more inclined to just do without. Its not necessary to win or have fun. Also gotta realize the ones who are obsessive will always make the casual player's efforts obsolete. That's how life works. I usually don't comment, but i would like to say that game is transformed. 2k is going to a wrong direction. When you take away the grind, it makes it boring for everyone. People might pay once for all of these, but they are not gonna pay twice. Auction house gave a sense of gambling, which was the reason why people were opening packs. If you just pay for a player, then it gets pointless. It is possibly cool for the comp people, but for anyone else, it's just pointless. This format right now has an expiration date. That's a gold chance for EA to drop a game that will be a major competition
