Problem with the thermocouple. Kiln didn't reach temp, but mostly everything turned out okay.
Lots of holiday goodies. Check out the incredible talent coming out of my studio:

Hi, wow! There's some lovely pieces in this kiln opening. I especially love the mugs with the transfers, the trees, the marbled dishes ... actually everything 😍 I'm sorry to hear that your surgery was put off. Very frustrating for you to put it mildly. You live in a beautiful part of the world. Here in Australia, we're sweltering with the heat. Love your dog. All the best when your surgery does happen.

So much talent! It was great to see the diverse styles of each potter. Also, that you shared the possibilities of why certain pieces turned out the way they did. I agree, when it rains it pours. With that said, everything will work itself out. I understand how you feel with your surgery being delayed. On the other hand I’d rather have everything in place and have successful surgery. The view from your studio is lovely! Rinka is looking snug. ❤️😊🎄

Hi, just learning about pottery, very interested in glazes - planning to get a kiln next spring so I'm wondering what size your skutt is? Love your videos, thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear about your change of date for surgery - how frustrating 😢 wow I love everything that came out of your kiln - lots of talented peoples work 🥰 I am very new to pottery and am hoping to get a kiln soon but here in Nz they are so super expensive 🙃

I fire for other potters who aren't students and don't have a kiln. Ask around, you might find a potter willing to fire your stuff. Potters are the most helpful people in my experience. Good luck and thank you.

She used coastal blue by Clayscapes. On darker clay, it's a pretty blue. One of my favorite glazes.

I watch your video"s over and over again. I Love them and you tell all in a very positive way. So that the folk who are not so clever. I do not follow them slavishly, but put my own twist on them. And this just so how good a teacher you are I spent an afternoon and could not stop adding "things to decorate. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It relaxed me from all of my committees and set my mind at rest. You are the best.I would love to meet you but I do not have the wherewithal to do that . But I do enjoy your videos I feel that you are just teaching me. And Australia is just as big as you there is not one person who will copy you or my take on what you make. Maybe you could follow Jessica Putnam Phillips and set up your own video classes. You already use the GR FORMS as most of us do in various ways. I do love your channel, I also feel as if you are just down the street and I can just ring you and find the answer. If you ever decide to have a holiday in Australia please let me know.

Ahh, thank you so much. Someday I hope to visit Australia and I will definitely let you and everyone know. I do follow Jess, but I hand no desire to do what asks does. Too much work! But never say never as you never know what the universe has in store. 😀

Yes, changed my Skutt thermocoupler, and still did not fire the correct way, so now Im looking at relays and replacing elements. I should NOT complain this is the first time Im changing them in my Skutt in at lest 10 years!!! It really is a workhorse, so I will give her all the love and attention my wallet an give ;-))

Wow, 10 years. That's awesome. I fire my girl roughly 3 times a week. I've had her 2 years, but knew I was headed for maintenance. Love her though. Good luck with your girl.
