Hi, I love your work and its nice to hear you mentioned by other KZbin potters. When I use a 3 pin stilt, I place it with pins under piece-the reverse of the way you do it. I'm not sure there is any real difference, other than if you get drips, it's easy to clip through the pin, rather than grind the base. You do a great job of logging your info-unless you are too tired. :-). Jessica, Pacifica, Ca
@janesshoeboxstudio58292 ай бұрын
Hi Jessica, yes, I usually do use the stilts the other way with the pins facing up, but with the hole in the bottom of the pumpkins for the tealight, the pins didn't sit right. The grinding wasn't too bad, I got it all cleaned up, and that little Jack sold at the market. I need to make some stilts or raised cookies to specifically fit my pumpkins. And yes my glaze logging system usually works very well, unless I am tired 😅

Hey Jane yay I’ve finally caught up!! Cone packs no it’s not the number. Break the cones then stand on a table and u will see the natural lean, u then point the lean towards the dot in the cone pack. Hope that makes sense?? Love the purple tree so pretty! I get most of my supplies from CCG NZ. Super cheap being $nz and u have your order 2 days later at your door! Amazing! That twilight pumpkin is my fav. Gorgeous! Oh ladybug is perfect for mushrooms! I want to attempt them but wouldn’t know where to start! What glaze do u put in under the mushroom hood? Oh I like the passion flower ones too. Indigo float always goes that horrible green if too thin. It’s funny how we seem to do similar combos n similar issues (I refired blisters that stayed but lost the sharp last kiln too!) another awesome unload. Nat xx
@janesshoeboxstudio58292 ай бұрын
Yep, that makes sense for the cone packs, thank you. I also shop quite a bit from CCG, and yes I can't get over how quickly their parcels arrive. I used Oyster from Mayco under the mushies. We do have very similar colour tastes. I just love colour, I can't get enough of it, hence my ridiculous wall of glazes! I'll have to film a studio tour soon so people can see my obsession 😅. Thank you so much for watching all of my videos. I really hope you enjoyed them. Still lots of improvements to be made in my filming endeavours, but I will get better at it 😊 xx

Great trees, all so pretty! I'm a non-traditional colors tree person too 🎄I find jungle gems over snow definitely keep more of their pretty colors But then your mushrooms are just jungle gems alone and they look just as good. Wow the ladybug was unexpectedly good, the test tile on the mayco site is not as nice as yours! ❤🖤❤ I have been thinking of buying peach party have you tried that one?

Thank you, the glaze combos on the trees in my latest unload video were inspired by you. I will try the jungle gems over snow. Ladybug is awesome, so bright even at Cone 6. I haven't tried Peach Party yet sorry. Thank you so much for watching my video. I have been watching yours for years.

I love all the mushrooms! I would have a hard time deciding which ones to buy. What is the intended use, just decorations? They are perfect! I like the bent over star trees too. I am pretty sure they will sell as is.
@janesshoeboxstudio5829Ай бұрын
@FunkyPhish hi! Yes the Mushrooms are decorative. People have been buying them to go in pot plants and fairy gardens. All but one of the bent over star Christmas trees have sold now. The last one may have to be mine 😊

kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXeQZqZnophom6ssi=84bRoZqvkOv4OGil This might help you. Its for large cones not self supporting. I'm sure there's more online. Nice kiln unload so many nice pieces. Where the stars separated using a wire or attached? PS I too number my pieces, I'm up to about 32. It was the easiest way to work out what is what.😊

thank you. The stars did have wire in them, funny that some stood fine and others did not.
