Thanks again, Kim. After my Cone 6 natural cool firing, I am going to try your new schedule. Great combos. I do like the pumpkin but I think HF under the top colours would look nice. However, that would be orange then. I wonder how HF, Deep Sienna Speckle and Albany Slip Brown would look? Hmmmm? Thanks for sharing once again. Now, to watch your most recent opening. I am a bit behind!😅

Thanks for the suggestion, I put a couple of coats of sunrise over the top half so we shall see if that’s better, it can’t be worse 😂

Great stuff Kin! Maybe try putting the problem children in the middle of the kiln where it cools more slowly? Also, you may want to watch your back. I think Bigfoot was watching through your sliding glass door!

Yes I was thinking that as well, maybe even holding it for 35 min instead of 30, give the blisters a bit more time to heal!

I like the blue mug without soft aqua. That is really odd about the sangria. How frustrating. I have been having trouble with my clear. It’s the first glaze I ever mixed myself. I’m gritting sharp little granules and blistering even on the unglazed clay. Both clays have speckles. I just sieved the glad again and there were lumps in the bottom of the bucket so I’ll test first next time. Love your new combos, very classy. Warmly, Liana

Hi Kim .. love your glaze combo .. when you are doing your englobes are u going right to the top of the mug and is Amber Quartz a Mayco product .. I like the mug better without the soft aqua and usually like the soft aqua on everything but not on this mug.. thanks for sharing
@undsethpottery2 ай бұрын
No I just take the engobe to where the glaze will be! Yes Amber Quartz is a mayco product!

When using the Black enrobe …. I noticed that sometimes you also put this glaze on the bottom of your pots, do you have to use stilts on those pots, or this glaze does not stick to the shelves when fired? Very pretty matte finish. Love watching you. Glenn has subscribed to you for me. Thanks for your suggestions on utude,😊

I have advancer shelves so I don’t need to worry about kiln wash sticking, I’m thinking it would just brush off but I haven’t tried!

I hear if you use a coat of honey flux under sangria it performs better.
@undsethpottery2 ай бұрын
Yes it does works, I just didn’t like how it changed the color but I just discovered that flux blossom works the same way but gives a pink hue which works perfectly with the sangria!

Have you tried refiring with a clear over it instead of Honey Flux? I've had the same issue. Currently my kiln isn't hooked up or I'd give it a try. I've seen the "fix" to be a refire with Honey Flux but as you suggested the color isn't as vibrant. Maybe clear? Thanks for sharing enjoyed the video very much
@undsethpottery2 ай бұрын
That’s a good idea, I will have to give it a try! I did refire them with flux blossom, thinking that the pink hue might be nice, so we shall see by the end of the day how they turned out!

Sorry if this is a duplicate question. On the engobe mugs, do you paint the entire mug with engobe and then apply the other glazes over it or do engobe on one part and tge other glazes on the other part? Thanks
@undsethpottery2 ай бұрын
I just do the engobe up to where the glaze will be and overlap just a little bit
