Sabvoton all-day been using Sabvoton for years for lots of builds. Even used that same Sabvoton on my SurRon. Got a BAC4K now but the Sabvoton worked decently with the SurRon.

Been using the 72200 for a while now, brilliant controller!! Requested mine unlocked when i bought it direct from sabvoton. Running mine at 550 phase amps and 250 battery amps on a 3T QS205 with cooling mods, ferro + hubsinks. Can't beat it for price and performance especially when its unlocked!! It doesn't even get hot when running that power either! Maybe gets a bit warm and that's after i've thrashed it to death!

Personally we are HUGE fans of sabvoton controllers ! The unlocked versions perform incredibly . We are planning to do a video detailing how to unlock them using a PC

@@KiloVoltBikes Yeah thats a good idea since theres a lot of confusion about unloked sabvoton controllers. For example you can only use the unlock pc software if it is unlockable controller, i.e when you bought it from "mqcon" you soecifically request it to be unlocked. A lot of people think you can use the unlock pc software on any sabvoton controller and unlock it.

Can you do detailed video of all Sabvoton features like wiring/practical uses of 3-way speed switch (for police) etc. Nobody in the youtube business have done it and I think you would have the knowledge to do this. Thanks!

Great summary! Rather than 'phase' and 'DC', Kelly describes the performance in their manual as 300A for 20 sec and 120A for continuous current. So for 100% motor current limit in the user settings and a battery that can handle it (also set at 100% batt current limit), what current should be expected at full throttle?

You didn't mention the ebrake connectors could you tell me how many wires are on it and possibly the wire colors. I have the Sabvoton 72150 and im not able to get my regen to work and I'm wondering if i have it connected to the right wires. Thanks for you time i really appreciate it.

Sabvoton is great for big wheels but for small hub-motors Kelly is better.

So I got a KLS in the shop.Its a wimp compared. Plus a Sab72150. Have two KEB Kellys too. Let me tell you.. 350 pA on the Sabvoton feels NOTHING like the 350A phase rating on the KEB 8kW.

hello sir need some info plz have you delt with kelly 7230s wireing before ? if so can you help with a few connections as there is no diagram i need to know the basics as in what numbers is the throttle and what connections numbers is the regen braking as i wont touch it untill i have solid proof as this man kept his word and got me the 7230s in about 4 weeks he s a good guy and hope to now ask for his help one last time for a battery for my needs

Kelly max voltage is 89-90 volts I ride with 75 volts nominal. Great video when you have the space the Sav, is a good controller for the money. But when it’s about space cannot go wrong with a Kelly. Spot on review.

Yes can, i have city coco and i activate regent braking on it, you should open controller of it, and connect one of brake switch wire in controller to EBS printed pin

Hi i think it would be ok to set the current motor at 100 percent (full 300A phase) and set the current battery at 80 percent (around 100AMPS) those settings should be fine - if it trips the bms or is too much for the battery just turn the battery current down

88v i believe i think some people have pushed it further - i would suggest asking your supplier as several companies make the sabvoton controllers to slightly internal different spec

There’s loads of different layouts for the wiring loom (hopefully I didn’t forget to mention this in the video) Some have variable regen brake, no pas no speed limit- I think you can request features upon ordering the controller . We will be looking at a custom sabvoton controller with mods we built very soon

I presume the Kelly as the sabvoton doesn’t have any battery wires just terminals The Kelly has 2 x 8gauge cable for both positive and negative battery wires . Usually if a controller has battery wires they are suitable for the controllers set rating . So in the case of the Kelly the cables are suitable for 120A cont & 300A peak . We feel high quality 10 gauge silicone is ok for a bit more then 30A when running 90v or less

Sabvoton the company went out of business many years ago . There’s a few Chinese companies building sabvoton controllers still from OEM licenses MQCON & Risunmotors to name a couple. I would suggest sticking with MQCON controllers they seem to be better overall quality
