@@MZESSENZE not so in her case because this is her husband of lots of years but women generally don’t want to look in a guy’s eyes. It can be a very intimate dance sometimes. I know that the reason I wouldn’t look up a lot of times.

@Madaline Haywood The whole point of dancing is connection. I've been a Pro-am dancer for many years. Looking down, while dancing is looked upon as being unsure, or even, not enjoying who you are dancing with. It is best to engage with your partner, or if you can't look at him, then look out, but NEVER down. Many songs are intimate, Rhumba, being one, but your connection with your partner is what is seen by others as well as your footwork. Why is it it that the first thing I noticed when I saw this clip was her looking down, not the dance itself! . She needs to look at HIM, not the floor! 😉
