Umm, what's with the cellphone cameras and the choir members? I'm lost. And what's with the musical preparedness of head of music? Were they not aware of the caliber of gospel artists they employ? If Micheal Jordan is coming to play, we prepare accordingly to allow his gifts to shine. Where was the musical preparation for Ms. Kim Burrell? Then folks claim, someone's in their celebrity feelings because of this and the other. Someone's being harsh, terse and difficult. Someone has an ugly demeanor. Not being church at all, just being professional, this was raggedy musically. And the gall to stream it, as if, " look who we got to 'perform' at our church. Ain't we big time.?" Ms. Burrell was in especially gracious spirits on this occasion. She didn't 'appear' to be irritated but to the ear and to anyone with a KZbin account, familiar with her current go-to' medley, this was trash by comparison. The biscuits were burned, lol, when members of the choir, whilst providing musical support, take out their phones to record, in the context of the service. If you know better, just do it better and not the other.

Sounds like piano dude was wayy to anxious. This was his claim to fame playing for kim burrell. The bible says to know them labor among you; apparently this music department wasn't aware of how kim operates... & if the do know how she operates, they weren't prepared.

When they pull anyone over for a traffic infraction and dispense a ticket for a court appearance, they admonish, " absence of knowledge of the law, does not expunge disciplinary action." Have no clue how young, I'm assuming, homeboy was but, whoever let him on the keys with Kim Burrell attending, played him, lol. When the performer has her arm extended AND utters instruction to hold back, slow down, wait, wait, wait for me sugar.... It's a WRAP. When a woman says, "No. No means no." My man was trying to one-size-fits-all with the likes of Kim. And if/ when he sees this commentary, he'll truly get the message. She was very kind to him. There are many "corrective" moments with her visibly perturbed engaging an accompanist to "you probably don't know this,so I'll do this by myself..." Or her extremely audible, "SHHHH!" to bring down the musician's bumpin extra.. We're not at the gig, we in church, lol. And he too was an eager piano beaver accustomed to overplaying, grandstanding, showboating his perceived virtuoso. She was in the middle of her set when led to improvisation to another segment of a completely different song. And she had to, verbally shut a brother down. In front of the entire church. While being recorded. It was beyond embarrassing.

Whenever I play for someone... especially if they're established, I'm too nervous to take my eyes off them. She was really in another zone because she didn't go there with him like we know she can. &like you said; if she did (go there) ppl would have a whole lot to say about her attitude without mentioning this dude inability to follow & Discernment moments.
